IV. Informasi Materi

Dengan mengidentifikasi makna gagasan dimaksudkan bahwa siswa dapat mengenali teks
prosedur berkenaan dengan “ How to Cook Agar-Agar, selanjutnya siswa dapat mengetahui cara
membuat “agar-agar”, dan pada akhirnya memahami tujuan komunikatif teks berbentuk prosedur
yang diberikan guru.

Istilah-istilah penting berkaitan dengan tema teks prosedur:

1. Prosedur, adalah tahapan atau langkah-langkah untuk menyelesaikan kegiatan atau


aktivitas tertentu atau secara singkat sering juga tersebut tatacara.
2. Procedure text adalah teks yang isinya menyampaikan langkah-langkah atau cara-cara
melakukan atau membuat sesuatu benda.
Generic structure: Aim/Goal - Materials/Tools - Steps/Methods-Aim/Goal,
contoh :

Ketika disajikan tentang teks yang bertemakan tentang bagaimana cara membuat makanan /
minuman, maka yang diperlukan adalah:
1. Materials (Bahan) berisi: bahan - bahan dan atau alat - alat untuk membuat
makanan / minuman tersebut.

2. Steps/Methods (Langkah-langkah/metoda) berisi: langkah - langkah membuat


makanan / minuman tersebut.

How to Cook Agar-Agar

- First, pour a package of agar-agar into a pan of water


- next, add it a fourth of sugar or according to taste.
- And then, Boil them slowly
- After that, pour them into moulds
- Let it, cool and “agar-agar” is ready to serve

Now, these are the steps of cooking agar-agar. First, pour a packet of agar-agar into a pan and pour
one liter of water on it. Like this right? Secondly, add a fourth kilogram of sugar. Then, boil
slowly. After that, pour into moulds. Finally, let it cool. Now, agar-agar is ready to be served.

How to operate a blender


1. Make sure the switch is off.
2. Place ingredients into the blender container. Add some water if needed.
3. Put the lid on.
4. Place the container on the motor housing.
5. Plug in the cable.
6. Select one of two speed buttons as required.
7. Use pulse switch for precision blending.
8. When adding ingredients or seasoning, remove the small lid for adding things in the middle  of the blender lid.
9. After grinding, press the switch off.
10. Unplug the cable.

I. Read the text  aloud !

How to make fried chicken

Ingredients:

1 pound  of chicken, 4 cups of cooking oil, 1 cup of flour, 1 teaspoon of salt, 1 pepper, a dash of chili powder
The methods:

First, put flour, salt, pepper and chili powder in a plastic bag and shake to mix.

Next, cut the chicken into small pieces, add them to the bag and shake to coat the chicken seasoned flour.

After that, heat the oil in a heavy frying pan over medium-high heat and cook the chicken for about ten to fifteen minutes or until the chicken is golden
brown.

Finally, drain the chicken and serve.
