3. dibagi menjadi 4 bagian yang terdiri dari 8 bit untuk masing-maisng

4. masing-masing bagian dipisah dengan tanda titik

5. digunakan dalam bentuk bilangan desimal

1. zaman classfull

alamt ip masih dikategorikan dalam bentuk kelas-kelas

kelas A 1.0.0.0 - 127.255.255.255 --> internet

kelas B 128.0.0.0 - 191.255.255.255 --> skala perusahaan besar

kelas c 192.0.0.0 - 223.255.255.255 --> SOHO

kelas d 224.0.0.0 - 239.255.255.255 --> multicast

kelas e 240.0.0.0 - 255.255.255.255 --> eksperimental

1. Ip Private --> diperuntukkan untuk jaringan LAN, VPN

2 ip localhost/loopback

alamt ip yag diperuntukkan bagi pengujian koneksi secara lokal

3. IP link-local

Ip yang diperuntukkan bagi komputer yang tidak atau gagal memperoleh ip dari DHCP server

4. ip multicast

ip yang diperuntuk untuk kebutuhan audio/video streaming atau bc misalanua radio / tv

ipyang diperuntuk bagi kebutuhan pengirimaninformasi idenditas atau ditujukan ke semua host dalam
