Sebanyak 25 ekor dibagi
kedalam 5 kelompok perlakuan yaitu kontrol positif (suspensi furosemid), kontrol negatif
(suspensi CMC Na 0,5%), ekstrak dosis 2 mg/ 20 g BB, ekstrak dosis 4 mg/ 20 g BB dan ekstrak
dosis 8 mg/ 20 g BB. Pengujian dilakukan dengan mengukur volume urin yang dikeluarkan
selama 6 jam. Rata - rata volume urin hewan coba setelah diberikan perlakuan dan diamati
selama 6 jam berturut-turut 0,3826 ± 0,1265 mL; 0,0718 ± 0,0547 mL; 0,1022 ± 0,0611 mL;
0,1510 ± 0,0655 mL dan 0,1682 ± 0,0705 mL. Data dianalisis dengan uji Kruskal Wallis dan
dilanjutkan dengan uji Mann Whitney. Dari hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa ekstrak
etanol 70% daun kucai (Allium tuberosum) dosis 8 mg/ 20 g BB memiliki rata-rata volume urin
terbesar dengan indeks aktivitas diuretik 2,3.
Garlic chives (Allium tuberosum) is one of the plant from the Liliaceae family with the genus
Allium. Garlic chives leaves contains Allicin and some secondary metabolite that can be
potentially used as a diuretic like alkaloids, flavonoids and saponins. The purpose of this study
was to determine the diuretic activity of 70% ethanolic extract of garlic chives (Allium
tuberosum) leaves in white male mice. The type of research used is true experimental with a
post-test only control group research design. 25 mices are divide into five groups. The group
consists of furosemide group, Na CMC 0,5% and 70% ethanolic extract of garlic chives leaf
group at the doses of 2 mg/g bw, 4 mg/g bw, and 8 mg/ g bw. The test is done by measuring of
diuretics effect the urine volume incurred for 6 hours. The average urine volume respectively
0,3826 ± 0,1265 mL; 0,0718 ± 0,0547 mL; 0,1022 ± 0,0611 mL; 0,1510 ± 0,0655 mL and
0,1682 ± 0,0705 mL. Data were analyzed by Kruskal Wallis test and continued with Mann
Whitney test. From these results it can be concluded that 70% ethanolic extract of garlic chives
leaf at the dose of 8 mg/ 20 g bw has the largest urine volume with a diuretic activity index of 2
