COMPLIMENT

Compliment dalam bahasa Indonesia berarti pujian atau kata pujian. Compliment seringkali
kita ucapkan kepada seseorang jika kita menghargai orang tersebut atas keberhasilan atau
pencapaian yang telah ia capai.
Compliment berguna untuk memberi dorongan semangat bagi seseorang agar orang itu tetap
berprestasi dan bahkan berusaha lebih baik dari itu.

Kapan kita harus mengucapkan Compliment / Pujian kepada seseorang?

 Pada situasi umum,

 Ketika seseorang telah melakukan upaya mereka yang terbaik,
 Ketika kamu mengunjungi rumah seseorang untuk pertama kalinya,
 Jika kamu menyadari sesuatu yang baru dengan penampilan seseorang

Social Function
The social function of compliment is an expression used to express our praise to
someone. It is used by us everytime we find something good of someone to make
him or her happy and improve his or her performance.

Generic Structure
The structure of compliment expression is:

 Expression
The beginning of expression (in this case, in the dialogue).
For example: How beautiful your new hair is!

 Response
The feed back of the expression.
For example: Thank you for saying so.

Penjelasan Complimenting Someone

Complimenting adalah ekspresi atau tindakan memuji seseorang. Pujian ini dapat ditujukan
terhadap tindakan, ucapan, penampilan, maupun perlakuan sesorang yang mengesankan di
mata kita. Jika anda ingin memberikan pujian kepada seseorang, anda bisa mengikuti
beberapa ekspresi di bawah ini:

- She seems beautiful with her new hair. (Dia tampak cantik dengan rambut barunya)

COMPLIMENTING
Compliment is an expression to appreciate or praise other people. Compliment is useful to

- If you notice something new about someone’s appearance.
