Pengertian Procedure Text

Procedure text adalah jenis teks yang berisi perintah atau instruksi. Teks ini bertujuan
untuk menguraikan bagaimana sesuatu dicapai atau dibuat melalui urutan kegiatan atau atau
langkah-langkah tertentu.

Struktur Procedure Text

 Goal, bagian ini memberikan informasi tentang maksud dan tujuan, serta
memprediksi suatu kesimpulan.
 Materials, bagian ini berisi daftar materi atau bahan-bahan yang dibutuhkan untuk
melakukan suatu prosedur atau langkah-langkah.
 Steps, bagian ini daftar urutan instruksi/aktivitas untuk mencapai tujuan dalam urutan
langkah yang benar dituliskan.

Contoh Procedur Teks:

How to Make Chocolate Balls

Materials :

 250 gr chocolate milk

 Two packs of biscuits/cookies
 1 cup full cream
 One pack of colorful chocolate sprinkles
 Various toppings

Steps :

1. First, Put various toppings on the table

2. Second, smash the biscuits/cookies until like powder and stir it
3. Third, add the chocolate milk and full cream at the same time stir it
thoroughly until the mixture become hard
4. Fourth, form the chocolate became like balls
5. Fifth, roll the balls into colorful spinkles
6. Sixth, roll the balls into one toppings
7. Finally place the balls in the small cookie paper

1 1st : first Yang Pertama
2 2nd : second Yang Kedua
3 3rd : third Yang Ketiga
4 4th : fourth Yang Keempat
5 5th : fifth Yang Kelima
6 6th : sixth Yang Keenam
7 7th : seventh Yang Ketujuh
8 8th : eighth Yang Kedelapan
9 9th : ninth Yang Kesembilan
10 10th : tenth Yang Kesepuluh
Definisi Passive Voice
Dilansir dari The Writing Center, passive voice merupakan “a passive construction occurs
when you make the object of an action into the subject of a sentence.

That is, whoever or whatever is performing the action is not the grammatical subject of the
sentence.”

Dari definisi di atas dapat disimpulkan bahwa passive voice subjek kalimat tidak melakukan
aksi melainkan menerima aksi.

S + to be ( is/am/are) + V3

Contoh Kalimat perubahan kalimat aktif menjadi kalimat pasif (passive voice):

The child calls his mother His mother is called by the child

 Dari Contoh di atas, Subjek ‘The Child’ pada kalimat aktif berubah menjadi Objek
pada kalimat pasif, sedangkan Objek ‘his mother’ pada kalimat aktif berubah
menjadi subjek pada kalimat pasif.
 Penggunaan ‘to be (is)’ setelah Subjek ‘his mother’ pada kalimat pasif.
 Penggunaan ‘by’ sebelum Objek ‘the child’ pada kalimat pasif.
 Dan yang terakhir adalah perubahan kata kerja 1 (call) pada kalimat aktif menjadi
kata kerja 3 (called) pada kalimat passif (call called).

Contoh beberapa perubahan kata kerja 1 (V1), kata kerja 2 (V2), kata kerja 3 (V3):
