Berbagai komplikasi akibat pencabutan banyak jumlahnya dan bervariasi. Adalah
tugas dokter gigi untuk melakukan setiap tindakan secara tepat, benar, teliti dan
berhati-hati dengan memperhatikan prosedur standart dalam melakukan tindakan
tindakan pencabutan gigi, Sehingga dengan demikian dapat menghindari timbulnya

komplikasi serta mencegah keadaan darurat medik. Meskipun tidak mungkin

setelah tindakan dan harus
dapat diatasi secepatnya secara efektif setelah penyebabnya
diketahui pasti. Oleh
karena itulah maka seorang dokter gigi harus memiliki
kemampuan yang terlatih
dalam mengatasi timbulnya komplikasi pasca operasi.

guna mengantisipasi
timbulnya keadaan yang mengarah kepada keadaan gawat
darurat medis
