A. Pengertian Integral
Bentuk penjumlahan kontinu yang terdiri dari anti
turunan disebut dengan "integral". Merujuk pada buku
bertajuk Kamus Matematika: Istilah, Rumus, dan

Perhitungan, kata integral sebagai kata benda diartikan

sebagai sebuah fungsi. Sedangkan jika dari kata sifat, artinya
"dalam bentuk bilangan bulat".
B. Jenis-Jenis Integral
1. Integral tak tentu
Integral tak tentu adalah bentuk
integral yang hasilnya berupa
fungsi dalam variabel tertentu dan
masih memuat konstanta integrasi. 
Contoh soal
Pertanyaan:
Gunakan rumus integral tak tentu untuk menghitung
∫2 dx.

Jawaban:
Jika ditugaskan untuk menghitung ∫2 dx, maka bisa
dijabarkan seperti ini "turunan dari 2x + C adalah 2, maka
hasilnya ∫ 2 dx = 2x + C"
Rumus Integral Tak Tentu
∫f(x)dx = F(x).
Simbol dalam rumus di atas bisa diartikan
sebagai: ∫ = lambang integral
f(x) = turunan dari f(x) + C
C = suatu konstanta real.
2. Intergral Tentu
Integral tentu merupakan
integral yang memiliki batas.
Batas-batas ini umumnya suatu
nilai konstanta atau bisa juga
variabel.
Rumus integral tentu
"a∫b f(x)dx = f (b) - f (a).
Simbol dalam rumus di atas bisa diartikan
sebagai : f(x) = fungsi yang nantinya akan
diintegralkan.
F(a) = nilai integral pada batas bawah.
F(b) = nilai integral pada batas atas.
d(x) = variabel integral.
a = batas bawah pada variabel
integral.
Contoh Soal
Pertanyaan:
Diketahui ∫41 4x dx.

Jawaban:
∫41 4x dx = 2x2]41 = 2(4)2 - 2(1)2 = 32 - 1 = 30.
