KONSEP MODULASI SSB
1. Cukup mengirimkan salah satu band-nya saja untuk mengirimkan informasi dari
sinyal pemodulasi, sehingga terjadi penghematan jalur frekuensi.
2. Menghemat Daya. terutama jika m=0, maka tidak ada daya disipasi, dan apabila
m=1 disipasi daya adalah 1/6.
3. Sinyal SSB memiliki NOISE yang lebih rendah daripada sinyal AM biasa.
4. Transmisi SSB tidak mengalami fading. tidak sebesar dalam sistem AM. Karena
dalam sistem SSB tidak ada frekuensi carrier dan bandwith lebih sempit.
5. Penghematan bandwidth.
