YANG MEMPENGARUHI SELF CARE PADA PASIEN DM TIPE 2

DI PUSKESMAS DEPOK III SLEMAN YOGYAKARTA1

ABSTRAK
Latar Belakang: Faktor-faktor intrinsik yang mempengaruhi self care yaitu usia, jenis
kelamin, tingkat pendidikan, status pernikahan, dan lama menderita penyakit. Salah satu
puskesmas dengan penemuan kasus DM Tipe 2 terbanyak terjadi di Puskesma Depok III
Sleman dimana pada tahun 2012 ditemukan sebanyak 537 kasus, tahun 2013 sebanyak
921 kasus dan bedasarkan dari studi pendahuluan lanjut di puskesmas Depok III Sleman,
didapatkan pada tahun 2014 prevalensi DM tipe 2 masih mengalami peningkatan
menjadi 1.224 kasus tercatat.
Tujuan: Diketahuinya faktor-faktor intrinsik yang mempengaruhi self care pada pasien
Diabetes Melitus tipe 2 di Puskesmas Depok III Sleman Yogyakarta..
Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan kuantitatif korelatif cross sectional. Teknik
pengambilan sampel accidental sampling. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan
kusioner. Analisis data menggunakan uji chi square.
Hasil: Uji Analisis chi square menunjukkan nilai p=0,004 (p<0,05) untuk hubungan usia
dengan self care, p=0,901 (p>0,05) untuk hubungan jenis kelamin dengan self care,
p=0,002 (p<0,05) untuk hubungan tingkat pendidikan dengan self care, p=0,003
(p<0,05) untuk hubungan status pernikahan dengan self care, p=0,006 (p<0,05) untuk
hubungan lama menderita dengan self care pada pasien DM Tipe 2 di Puskesmas Depok
III Sleman Yogyakarta
Simpulan dan Saran: Ada hubungan yang signifikan antara self care dengan usia,
tingkat pendidikan, status pernikahan dan lama menderita, serta tidak ada hubungan
yang signifikan antara self care dan jenis kelamin. Pengadaan program untuk
meningkatkan aktivitas pasien DM tipe II usia dewasa karena pasien usia dewasa justru
memiliki self care yang lebih rendah serta pemberian edukasi kepada keluarga pasien
DM tipe II yang berusia lansia untuk membantu lansia melakukan perawatan kaki.

ABSTRACT

Background: intrinsic factors that affect self-care. One of the health centers with the
most type 2 DM cases found in Depok III Sleman Puskesma in 2012 was 537 cases, in
2013 there were 921 cases and based on preliminary studies at Depok III Sleman health
center, got in 2014 the prevalence of type 2 DM still receded to 1,224 phone calls.

Objective: To know the intrinsic factors that affect self-care in type 2 diabetes mellitus
patients in Puskesmas Depok III Sleman Yogyakarta.

Method: This research is a cross sectional quantitative correlation. Accidental sampling

sampling technique. Method of taking data using kusioner. Data analysis used chi square
test.

Results: Chi square analysis test showed p = 0.004 (p <0.05) for consultation with self-
care, p = 0.901 (p> 0.05) for sex relations with self-care, p = 0.002 (p <0, 05) to relate
the level of education with self-care, p = 0.003 (p <0.05) for the relationship of marital
status with self-care, p = 0.006 (p <0.05) for long-standing relationship with self-care in
Type 2 DM patients in Puskesmas Depok III Sleman Yogyakarta

Conclusions and Suggestions: There is a significant relationship between self-care with

education level, marital status and length of suffering, and there is no significant
relationship between self-care and gender. Procurement of programs to increase the
activity of adult type II DM patients because of lower and better self-care adult patients
for families of type II DM patients who make it possible to help the elderly perform foot
care.
