kematian akibat maal nutrisi.

ABSTRACT
Early childhood is the golden age of child development. Rapid growth gradually slows
as the child enters preschool age which causes changes in eating behavior. Emo Demo is a
health promotion media that can be used to increase the knowledge and attitudes of mothers in
maintaining children's eating behavior. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect
of the emo demo media on the knowledge and attitudes of fruit and vegetable consumption in
mothers of preschool children in TAT TWAM ASI kindergarten.
The research method used is experimental with a quasi experimental type. The study
design uses one group pretest-posttest. The study population of all mothers was 72 people and
the study sample of some mothers as many as 20 people using the Lameshow formula. The
sampling technique uses simple random sampling. Statistical tests using the Wilcoxon
computerized test (SPSS) with a significance level of 5% a ∶ 0,05.
The results showed that almost half of respondent's knowledge before treatment was
less 9 (45,0%) and almost half of respondents' knowledge after treatment was sufficient 9
(45,0%). The results showed that the majority of respondents 'attitudes before treatment were
negative 13 (65,0%) and the majority of respondents' attitudes after treatment were positive
11 (55,0%).
Analysis of knowledge variable data obtained p value = 0,046 < 0,05 which means that
there is an influence of Emo Demo on the knowledge of fruit and vegetable consumption in
preschool children in kindergarten TAT TWAM ASI. Attitude variable obtained p value =
0,005 < 0,05 which means that there is an influence of Emo Demo on the attitude of
consumption of fruits and vegetables in preschool children in kindergarten TAT TWAM ASI.
Nutritionists work together with parents and the school in providing health counseling
and promotion about the consumption of fruits and vegetables in children so that the balanced
nutritional needs of children can be met so as to reduce morbidity and risk of death due to
nutritional problems.
