PENGARUH FISIOTERAPI DADA TERHADAP BERSIHAN JALAN

NAFAS PADA BALITA DENGAN PNEUMONIA
DI RSUD KOTA SURAKARTA

ABSTRAK

Latar Belakang: Pneumonia merupakan salah satu penyakit peradangan akut

parenkim paru yang biasanya dari suatu infeksi saluran pernafasan bawah akut.
Tanda gejala yang muncul pada penyakit ini yaitu batuk yang disertai kesulitan
bernafas, pasien yang batuk cukup lama hampir selalu membentuk sputum jika
produksi sputum berlebih akan menyebabkan ketidakefektifan bersihan jalan nafas.
Masalah bersihan jalan nafas dapat menjadi kondisi kegawatdaruratan jika tidak
segera ditangani, untuk mengatasi ketidakefektifan bersihan jalan nafas dapat
dapat dilakukan tindakan fisioterapi dada.

Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian fisioterapi

dada terhadap bersihan jalan nafas pada Balita dengan Pneumonia di RSUD Kota
Surakarta.

Metode Penelitian: Jenis penelitian ini adalah Pre Eksperiment dengan One Group
Pre-Post Test Design. Metode pengumpulan data berupa purposive sampling
dengan menggunakan lembar observasi yang terdiri dari 5 item pengukuran. Uji
hipotesis komparatif yang digunakan adalah uji Mc Nemar.

Hasil: Hasil analisis data 33 responden yang diberikan tindakan fisioterapi dada
menunjukkan angka signifikansi sebesar 0,000 (p value < 0,05).

Kesimpulan: Ada pengaruh Fisioterapi Dada terhadap Bersihan Jalan Nafas pada
Balita dengan Pneumonia di RSUD Kota Surakarta.

THE EFFECT OF THE CHEST PHYSIOTHERAPY TOWARD THE

AIRWAY CLEARANCE IN TODDLERS WITH PNEUMONIA AT RSUD
KOTA SURAKARTA

ABSTRACT

Background: Pneumonia was an acute inflammatory disease of the lung

parenchyma which was usually occured from an acute lower respiratory tract
infection. Symptoms that appeared in this disease were cough with difficulty in
breathing, patients who coughed for a long period almost always form sputum if
the production of the sputum exaggerate it will cause ineffective airway clearance.
The problem of the airway clearance can be an emergency condition if it was not
handled immediately, to overcome the ineffectiveness of the airway clearance, chest
physiotherapy can be applied.

Objective: This study aimed to determine the effect of giving chest physiotherapy
toward the airway clearance in toddlers with pneumonia at RSUD kota Surakarta.

Research Methods: The type of this research was a Pre Experiment with One
Group Pre-Post Test Design. Data collection method was in the form of purposive
sampling by using an observation sheet consisting of 5 measurement items. The
comparative hypothesis test applied was the Mc Nemar test.

Results: The results of data analysis of 33 respondents who were given chest
physiotherapy treatment showed a significance number of 0,000 (p value <0.05).

Conclusion: There was an effect of Chest Physiotherapy on Airway clearance in

Toddlers with Pneumonia at RSUD Kota Surakarta.
