ABSTRACT
Corona virus disease or COVID-19 is one of the main health problems in
Indonesia. Therefore, all the affected regions have implemented the COVID-19
prevention health protocol, including the City of Banda Aceh. However,
implementation of the health protocol in the community is considered remain less
effective. Having good knowledge, attitudes and behavior about health protocols
is important for the community in order to increase the success of COVID-19
prevention efforts.The purpose of this study was to determine the knowledge,
attitudes, and behavior of the community in implementing the COVID-19
prevention health protocol in Banda Aceh City. The type of research used is
descriptive with a cross sectional design. The population in this study were people
who live in one of the sub-districts in the Banda Aceh City area, with an estimated
population of 42,598 residents. The sampling technique used was accidental
sampling with a total sample of 420 people. The data collection used a
questionnaire distributed online in the form of a google form. The results showed
that the high proportion of the community’s knowledge (56,4%), attitudes (76,7)
and behavior (71,2%) were in the good category. It is hoped that the public will
increase their knowledge about COVID-19 prevention and be able to respond with
an appropriate attitude and behavior toward the implementation of the COVID-19
prevention health protocol.
