GI-Drain adalah pita geosintetik yang ditanam vertikal kedalam

tanah untuk mempercepat proses konsolidasi lapisan lempung
lunak. Inti GI-Drain terbuat dari bahan Polypropylene (PP)/
Polyethylene (PE) dan dibungkus oleh filter non woven Polyester
(PET). Komposit antara kedua bahan tersebut membuat pita GI-
Drain mampu mengalirkan air secara maksimal.
Sistem konsolidasi GI-Drain harus dikombinasikan dengan
preloading konvensional (menggunakan timbunan tanah) dan/
atau vacuum preloading. Ketika preloading dilakukan, kelebihan
tekanan air pori yang terjadi di dalam tanah akan dialirkan ke
permukaan oleh GI-Drain menuju lapisan pasir yang telah digelar
sebelumnya. Seiring dengan terlepasnya kelebihan tekanan air
pori, properti tanah lempung lunak eksisting akan meningkat.
GI-Drain saat ini menjadi pilihan yang sangat tepat karena GI-Drain
adalah produk Indonesia yang berkualitas tinggi dan telah teruji
baik di laboratorium maupun aktual di lapangan.
GI-Drain dipabrikasi dalam kontrol kualitas yang baik, dengan
bahan baku yang berkualitas tinggi sehingga memiliki kapasitas
pengaliran yang besar, kuat tarik yang tinggi, permeabilitas dan
permittivity filter yang memadai dengan kondisi bukaan pori (O95)
yang sangat kecil.

GI-Drain is a geosynthetic drain strips vertically inserted into the

ground to accelerate consolidation process of soft clay layers. GI-
Drain core is made from Polypropylene (PP)/ Polyethylene (PE)
material and wrapped by Polyester (PET) non woven filter. The
composite combination between the two materials makes the GI-
Drain band capable of transmitting maximum waterflow on both
sides of the core.
The GI-Drain consolidation system should be combined with
conventional preloading (soil embankment) and/or vacuum
preloading. When preloading is applied, excess pore water
pressures occurring in the soil will be flowed-up to the surface by
GI-Drain band toward the sand layer drainage. When excess pore
water pressures released, the existing soft clay properties will
increase.
GI-Drain is now the best choice for PVD material, because GI-Drain
is a high quality Indonesian product that has been well tested both
in the laboratory and in the field. GI-Drain is fabricated under a good
quality control with high quality raw materials so that it will have
large discharge capacity, high tensile strength of drain, good
permeability and permittivity with a very small opening size (O95).
