 Theory of Notice dan Warning
Pengertian Notice
Notice juga merupakan sebuah bentuk peringatan yang berbentuk sebuah rambu-rambu
akan tetapi biasanya di tulis dengan kalimat dan juga bahasa yang sederhana . Ukuran
penulisan juga di perhatikan dalam penulisan sebuah notice.

Notice juga bisa memiliki arti sebagai informasi yang memberitahu akan sebuah
peringatan supaya kita tidak mendekat kepada suatu hal. Bahkan bisa juga memiliki arti
sebagai suatu perhatian dari orang kepada orang lain. Dari beberapa hal di atas dapat
disimpulkan bahwa notice sendiri memiliki arti sebagai sebuah pemberitahuan berupa
peringatan kepada setiap orang.

Ada beberapa pengertian dari Notice yaitu;

 Informasi yang memberitahu atau memperingatkan tentang sesuatu yang akan terjadi
 Sebuah pernyataan mengatakan seseorang bahwa perjanjian, pekerjaan, dll, akan
segera berakhir
 Perhatian yang diberikan orang kepada seseorang atau sesuatu

Pengertian Warning
Warning adalah sebuah bentuk peringatan yang biasanya di letakan atau di tempel pada
tempat-tempat umum, warning selalu berhubungan dengan sesuatu yang sangat berbahaya
dan akan mendapatkan resiko bagi pelanggannya.

Warning (memperingatkan) adalah sebuah kalimat expressions yang digunakan untuk

memperingatkan seseorang biasanya dipasang di tempat-tempat tertentu untuk menarik
perhatian pembaca.

Dalam warning sendiri memiliki sebuah informasi dimana kita harus berhati-hati jika tidak
maka nyawa adalah taruhannya. Itulah mengapa terkadang banyak sekali kita melihat tulisan
ini di pom bensin dan tempat umum lainnya. Agar kita lebih berhati-hati bahkan tidak hanya
itu saja. Sebagai masyarakat selain berhati-hati tersebut melindungi dari bahaya diri sendiri.

Jenis Jenis Notice / Warning

Dengan berbagai makna yang berbeda tersebut maka types of notice and warning di bagi
ke dalam 4 jenis yaitu :
1. Command (perintah)
2. Cution (peringatan)
3. Prohibition (larangan)
4. Warning (peringatan)

 Tujuan Notice/Warning
Secara umum, tujuan adanya notice text ini adalah untuk memberikan petunjuk arahan
dan peringatan. Biasanya, peringatan atau pemberitahuan ditempatkan di tempat-tempat
umum. Secara khusus tujuan adanya teks ini bisa dijabarkan sebagai berikut : Untuk
memberikan instruksi atau menginstruksikan orang.

Tujuan dari Notice adalah;

1. Untuk memberi petunjuk

2. Untuk memberi arahan
3. Untuk memberi peringatan agar berhati-hati

Tujuan dari Warning adalah;

1. Untuk memberi peringatan bahwa itu berbahaya.

2. untuk memberi arahan melalui peringatan.

 Notice

Hal ini diberitahukan kepada masyarakat untuk :

1. Memberikan sebuah petunjuk kepada masyarakat

2. Memberi sebuah arahan kepada masyarakat ketika berada di tempat umum
3. Memberikan peringatan kepada setiap masyarakat untuk berhati-hati

 Warning

Hal ini diberitahukan kepada masyarakat untuk :

1. Memberikan sebuah peringatan bahaya kepada masyarakat

2. Memberikan suatu informasi melalui peringatan tersebut

Generic Structure text notice and warning

Generic structure pada semua short functional text pada umumnya sama, yaitu; 1. Attention
gather optional 2. Information 3. Closure optional

Attention gather (optional)

Attention gather means using expressions or phrases that can attract readers’ or people’s
attention such as Notice, Warning, or Caution.
Attention gather artinya menggunakan ungkapan atau frase yang dapat menarik perhatian
pembaca atau orang-orang seperti Pemberitahuan, Peringatan, atau Perhatian.

Information
Information here can be defined as the messages or information of the text that wants to be
delivered to people.
Informasi di sini dapat diartikan sebagai pesan atau informasi teks yang ingin disampaikan
kepada orang.

Closure (optional)
The closure is an act of closing: the condition of being closed. Closure in notice text can be
defined as a closing statement of notice. As its optional characteristic, closure can be omitted
or it can be written in the last part of the text. The function of closure is to close the
statements of notice.
