 Pungsi untuk mengeluarkan cairan di dalam rongga
pericardium
 Cara :
◦ sela iga ke V/VI kiri dekat sternum  pericardia terekspos;
atau
◦ Pendekatan xiphisternal: jarum diarahkan dari sisi kiri
processus xiphoideus, untuk menghindari tertusuknya
a.mammaria interna (thoracica interna), selanjutnya
diarahkan ke kranial, posterior dan kekiri, untuk
menghindari tertusuknya jantung. Bila jarum diarahkan
lurus ke posterior, a.coronaria sinistra dapat tertusuk.
