1 Obat Melalui
Oral

Pemberian obat per oral merupakan cara yang

paling banyak dipakai karena ini merupakan cara
yang paling mudah, murah, aman, dan nyaman
bagi pasien. Berbagai bentuk obat dapat di
berikan secara oral baik dalam bentuk tablet,
kapsul, kaplet atau sirup.
Jenis-jenis obat per-oral

a. Pil

Yaitu satu atau lebih dari satu obat yang di campur dengan
bahan kohesif dalam bentuk lonjong, bulat atau lempengan.
Pil hendaknya di telan secar utuh karena dapat mengandung
obat - obatan yang rasanya sangat tidak enak atau zat besi
yang bisa membuat gigi penderita berwarna hitam.
b. Tablet

Yaitu obat bubuk yang dipadatkan dalam bentuk lonjong atau

lempengan. Tablet dapat di patahkan untuk mempermudah
dalam menelan.

c. Bubuk

Yaitu obat yang di tumbuk halus. Bubuk ini tidak dapat larut
dalam air dan dapat di berikan kepada penderita dengan cara
dari kertas pembungkusnya di jatuhkan keatas lidah
penderita.
d. Drase

Yaitu obat - obatan yang di bungkus oleh selaput tipis gula.

Harus di telan secara utuh karena dapat mengandung obat -
obatan yang mempunyai kemampuan untuk mengiritasi selaput
lendir lambung pasien.

e. Kapsul

Yaitu obat dalam bentuk cair, bubuk atau minyak dengan di

bungkus gelatin yang juga harus di telan secara utuh karena
dapat menyebabkan muntah akibat iritasi selaput lendir lambung
pasien.
f. Sirup

Disini kita memakai sendok pengukur, gelas pengukur (yang

kecil), atau botol tetesan. Kadang-kadang sirup sebelum
diminum harus dikocok terlebih dahulu. Pemberiannya harus
dilakukan dengan cara yang paling nyaman khususnya untuk
obat yang pahit atau rasanya tidak enak.

pencegahan
yang harus
dilakukan
ketika obat
oral
diresepkan.
1. Jangan memberikan obat oral kepada pasien
yang muntah, yang tidak
memiliki refleks muntah, atau yang dalam
keadaan tidak responsif.

2. Jangan mencampur obat oral dengan

sejumlah besar makanan atau cairan karena
dapat mengubah efektivitas obat.
Kerugian dan Kelemahan dari
pemberian obat per oral adalah :

Pada aksinya yang lambat sehingga cara ini tidak dapat

di pakai pada keadaan gawat. Obat yang di berikan per
oral biasanya membutuhkan waktu 30 sampai dengan 45
menit sebelum diabsorbsi dan efek puncaknya di capai
setelah 1 sampai dengan 1 setengah jam. Rasa dan bau
obat yang tida enak sering mengganggu pasien.
Cara per oral tidak dapat di pakai pada pasien yang
mengalami mual-mual, muntah, semi koma, pasien yang
akan menjalani pangisapan cairan lambung serta pada
pasien yang mempunyain gangguan menelan.
 2 Pemberian Obat
Melalui Sublingual

Tablet sublingual merupakan jenis tablet kompresi yang

penggunannya disisipkan di bawah lidah. Tablet ini
umumnya berbentuk datar atau oval, keras, dan
mengandung hormon.

Obat-obat ini dapat dengan cepat diserap ke dalam sistem

peredaran darah karena jaringan bawah lidah terdiri atas
lapisan tipis sel-sel epitel dan jaringan luas kapiler.
Keuntungan tablet sublingual adalah :

1. Cocok untuk jenis obat yang dapat dirusak oleh

cairan lambung atau sedikit sekali diserap oleh saluran
pencernaan.

2. Bebas First Pass Metabolism.

3. Proses absorpsinya cepat karena langsung

diabsorpsi melalui mukosa mulut, sehingga diharapkan
dapat memberikan efek yang cepat juga.
Kerugian tablet sublingual adalah :

Hanya sebagian obat yang dapat dibuat menjadi tablet

sublingual ,karena obat yang dapat diabsorpsi melalui
mukosa mulut jumlahnya sangat sedikit.

Untuk obat yang mengandung nistrogliserin pengemasan

dan penyimpanan obat memerlukan cara khusus karena
bahan ini mudah menguap.
