 Pengertian Kelompok

Menurut Soerjono Soekanto Kelompok sosial adalah himpunan atau kesatuan-

kesatuan yang hidup bersama karena adanya hubungan di antara mereka secara
timbal balik dan saling mempengaruhi dan juga suatu kesadaran untuk saling
tolong-menolong. Sedangkan menurut

Paul B. Horton dan Chester L. Hunt kelompok didefinisikan sebagai kumpulan

orang yang memiliki kesadaran bersama akan keanggotaan dan saling
berinteraksi.

Robert K Merton menyatakan bahwa kelompok sosial adalah sekelompok

orang yang saling berinteraksi sesuai dengan pola-pola yang telah matang.

Mac Iver dan Charles H Page menyatakan bahwa kelompok sosial merupakan
himpunan atau satu-kesatuan manusia yang hidup bersama.

Jadi dapat dikatakan bahwa kelompok sosial adalah sekumpulan manusia
yang berhubungan timbal balik satu sama lain dalam sebuah struktur sesuai
dengan pola yang telah matang.
 Perilaku organisasi (Organizational Behavior)
adalah studi bagaimana manusia berinteraksi
dalam kelompok. Teori perilaku organisasi dapat
digunakan untuk memaksimalkan output sumber
daya manusia dari anggota kelompok. Perilaku
organisasi dapat juga didefinisikan sebagai bagian

dari bidang studi yang menyelidiki bagaimana

struktur organisasi mempengaruhi perilaku di dalam
organisasi. Perilaku organisasi yang mempelajari
dampak dari individu, kelompok, dan struktur
terhadap perilaku manusia di dalam organisasi.
Para pemimpin dapat memperlihatkan dan
meterapkan suatu gaya kepemimpinan didalam
salah satu faktor dari peningkatan kinerja para
karyawan, karena pada dasarnya karyawan
memiliki tugas dan tanggung jawab didalam
organisasi. Untuk mendorong dan mempengaruhi
semangat kerja yang baik terhadap bawahan.
Untuk hal itu pemimpin perlu memikirkan dan
memperlihatkan gaya kepemimpinannya yang tepat
dan benar penerapannya.
 
 Macam-macam bentuk struktur organisasi

Struktur Garis Struktur Fungsional

tertentu yang tugasnya menasehati dan memberikan
masukan pada pemimpin organisasi.
Formal dan Informal
Konsep Kelompok
Kelompok Formal adalah Kelompok yang sengaja dibentuk atau ditunjuk oleh
Organisasi untuk melakukan tugas tertentu. Perilaku kelompok tersebut adalah
diarahkan untuk mencapai Tujuan yang telah ditentukan oleh Organisasi. Kelompok
Formal ini umumnya memiliki aturan dan pembagian tugas yang jelas.

Kelompok Informal atau Informal Group adalah Kelompok yang dibentuk oleh
anggota organisasi yang mempunyai kepentingan yang sama. Kelompok Informal
ini umumnya tidak terstruktur secara formal dan tidak ditetapkan secara resmi oleh
organisasi. Timbulnya Kelompok Informal karena adanya tanggapan terhadap
kebutuhan akan hubungan sosial.
 1.Organisasi formal mencakup keterkaitan antara posisi-posisi yang telah ditetapkan. Dasar dari organisasi formal
Ciri Organisasi adalah posisi atau jabatan.

Formal 2. Hal-hal yang diperlukan dalam perencanaan organisasi yang digunakan untuk tugas-tugas, tanggung jawab, dan

individu. Diperlukan berbagai elemen di organisasi formal yang memiliki keterkaitan personal antar unit, individu baik
di dalam maupun luar organisasi.

7. Menyusun sistem disiplin pada setiap peraturan, prosedur, dan kebijakan merupakan bagian daroi organisasi.

8. Setiap anggota organisasi tidak berhubungan dengan tanggung jawab pribadi dengan tanggung jawab
organisasi.

9. Proses perekrutan dan seleksi karyawan di organisasi formal berdasarkan kualifikasi yang dimiliki dari hubungan
politik, keluarga atau koneksi lainnya.

10. Menentukan tanggung jawab dan penugasan dalam birokrasi termasuk dengan materi teknis dan promosi
jabatan yang biasanya dilaksanakan berdasarkan senioritas dan prestasi kerja.

Konsep McGregor bahwa strategi kepemimpinan dipengaruhi
oleh anggapan-anggapan seorang pemimpin tentang sifat dasar
manusia. Latar belakang pengalaman sebagai konsultan McGregor
menyimpulkan dua anggapan saling berlawanan yang dibuat oleh
manajer/pemimpin dalam menentukan gaya kepemimpinan yang
sesuai dengan situasi dan kondisi karyawan .
 
Gaya Kepemimpinan Perilaku Studi Michigan (Rensis Likert)

Koontz mencatat bahwa para peneliti di Lembaga Penalitian Sosial

University of Michigan USA yang dipimpim oleh Rensis Likert telah
melekukan studi untuk melihat apakah prinsip-prinsip kepemimpinan yang
valid dapat diketemukan pada berbagai bidang pekerjaan. Hasil penelitian
telah menemukan bahwa supervisor yang berorientasi pada karyawan
mempunyai semangat kerja yang lebih tinggi dan produktifitas yang lebih
baik dibandingkan supervisor yang berorientasi pada tugas. Kesimpulan
penelitian Michigan adalah bahwa kelompok kerja yang paling produktif
cenderung mempunyai pemimpin yang berorientasi pada
karyawan/demokratis,

Situasional Contingency

Model Situasional contingensi yang populer teori

Gaya Kepemimpinan Pendekatan kepemimpinan situasional diinisiasi oleh P.Hersey dan
Perilaku Teori Continuum Kenneth H.Blanchrd menguraikan bahwa gaya
kepemimpinan yang paling efektif tergantung kesesuaian
antara beberapa faktor berikut: a. Perilaku tugas, yaitu
Konsep Tannenbaum dan Schmidt disajikan dalam
kadar upaya pemimpin dalam mengorganisasi dan
suatu rangakaian kesatuan kepemimpinan (leadership
menetapkan peran bawahan, menjelaskan kegiatan
continuum). Menurut mereka, seorang manajer dapat
