PENDAHULUAN
LATAR BELAKANG
Determinan sosial adalah faktor-faktor penentu secara
sosial di dalam masyarakat. Pada prinsipnya
determinan sosial adalah sejumlah variabel yang
tergolong dalam faktor sosial, seperti; budaya, politik,
ekonomi, pendidikan, faktor biologi dan perilaku
yang mempengaruhi status kesehatan individu atau
masyarakat.

Determinan sosial berkontribusi terhadap


kesenjangan kesehatan di dalam kelompok
masyarakat yang disebut determinan sosial kesehatan
dan mempengaruhi kesehatan baik secara langsung
maupun tidak langsung, sehingga dapat menjadi tolak
ukur status kesehatan masyarakat. Determinan sosial
kesehatan merupakan proses yang membentuk
perilaku di dalam masyarakat. Perilaku adalah semua
kegiatan yang dilakukan manusia baik yang dapat
diamati langsung maupun yang tidak dapat diamati
oleh pihak luar. Perilaku seseorang terbentuk dari
pengetahuan, sikap dan praktek atau tindakan yang
dimiliki (Notoatmodjo, 2012).
