Community health centers Asera North Konawe, 2016 Couple of childbearing
age are planning participants who use contraception by 668 participants hormonal
contraceptives, consists of injecting as many as 192 people, the implant is 184
people, and pills as many as 183 people, IUD 74 people and condom 77 people
with the number of couples of reproductive age as much as 1,145. The research
objective was to determine the factors related to the choice of contraception in
public health center working area Asera North Konawe 2016.
This type of research is an analytic observational with cross sectional. The
study population was all couples of childbearing age use contraception in 2016 as
many as 668 people in the working area of public health center Asera. The
research sample that is 87 respondents. Sampling was accidental sampling
technique. The statistical test used was chi square and phi test.
The results showed that factors related to the choice of contraception is
knowledge (X2hi = 32.450, = 0.634), side effects (X2hi = 17.293, = 0.469), the
support of her husband (X2hi = 17.602, = 0.474).
Suggested to the officer families plan to provide information about
contraceptives and side effects are well used in accordance with the age of the
participants, and family planning officer family planning is expected to carry out
their duties to continuously do counseling regularly and continuously to the couple
to be interested and keep use contraceptives.
