Pengertian Present Perfect Continuous Tense

Present perfect continuous tense adalah suatu bentuk kata kerja yang digunakan untuk
menyatakan aksi yang telah selesai pada suatu titik di masa lalu atau aksi telah dimulai di
masa lalu dan terus berlanjut sampai sekarang. Aksi pada present perfect continuous tense
biasanya berdurasi waktu tertentu dan ada relevansinya dengan kondisi sekarang.

Rumus Present Perfect Continuous Tense

Present perfect continuous tense dibentuk dengan auxiliary verb have atau has, been
dan present participle (v1-ing). Have digunakan untuk I, you, they, we,
sedangkan has untuk he, she, it, dan orang ketiga tunggal.

Secara umum present perfect continuous tense hanya terjadi pada aksi berupa dynamic verb,
tidak stative verb karena umumnya hanya dynamic verb yang memiliki bentuk continuous.

Dengan demikian rumus present perfect continuous tense untuk kalimat positif, negatif, dan
interogatif adalah sebagai berikut.

digunakan untuk menyatakan suatu kejadian yang telah dilakukan dan sekarang atau
waktu saat ini masih sedang dilakukan atau berlanjut. Biasanya ditandai dengan
keteranngan waktu sejak (since), selama (for).

Past perfect continuous tense adalah suatu bentuk kata kerja yang digunakan untuk
mengungkapkan suatu aksi (dengan durasi waktu tertentu) telah selesai pada suatu titik waktu
tertentu di masa lalu.

Rumus Past Perfect Continuous Tense

Past perfect continuous tense dibentuk dengan auxiliary verb had dan been dan present
participle. Secara umum past perfect continuous tense hanya terjadi pada aksi
berupa dynamic verb, tidak stative verb karena umumnya hanya dynamic verb yang memiliki

Sekolah Bahasa Inggris Present perfect tense adalah bentuk kata kerja yang meyatakan
suatu aksi (action) yang dimulah di masa lalu, dan telah selesai pada waktu tertentu sebelum
detik ini (sekarang).

Rumus Present Perfect Tense

Present perfect tense dibentuk dari Subject ditambah auxiliary verb seperti have (untuk I,
You, They, We) dan has (untuk She, He, It) dan ditambah dengan bentuk kata kerja ke-3
atau Past Participle (Baik Irregular verb maupun regular verb). Dan Selebihnya dapat

Present Perfect Continuous Tense

Nah tiba saatnya kita belajar tentang Present Prefect Continuous Tense. Tenses yang satu ini
digunakan untuk menyatakan suatu kejadian, peristiwa atau apalah namanya, yang SUDAH
terjadi dan MASIH berlangsung bahkan sangat mungkin AKAN berlanjut. Dari dulu hingga
kini bahkan nanti, gitu loh!. Kata sudah atau dari dulu disini bisa saja waktunya kemarin,
2 jam lalu, se-abad lalu, bisa juga beberapa menit yang lalu. Intinya kejadian yang hendak
diungkapkan dalam Present Pefect Continuous Tense ini sebenarnya mirip dengan Present
Continuous Tense, hanya saja penekannya bukan pada saat ini, melainkan pada periode
waktunya tadi itu: sudah, masih dan akan. Jelas ya?

Rumus Present Perfect Continuous Tense

Positif: S + have/has + been + Ving
Negatif: S + have/has + not + been + Ving
Tanya: Have/has + S + been + Ving

Tetapi kalau waktu Anda ngomong itu Anda sudah tidak tinggal disini lagi, misalnya baru
saja pindah maka gunakan penekanan pada SUDAHnya saja seperti pada pelajaran Present
Perfect Tense, I have lived here

Tetapi lagi,
Kalau Anda ingin mengatakan tinggal disini tersebut dulu, misalnya 2 tahun yang lalu
tinggal disini, maksud saya anda tidak menekankan pada USAInya anda tinggal itu tetapi
fokus pada 2 tahun yang lalu itu, maka gunakan Past Tense saja: I lived here 2 years ago.
