of family members. Families with effective communication can help increase the
involvement of family members in the treatment of patients. The purpose of this study
was to determine the relationship between family communication and adherence to
drug consumption in Prolanis patients in the Pekanbaru City Area. This study used an
analytical observational study design with a cross-sectional. This research was
conducted in the Pekanbaru City Area. Sampling technique using cluster sampling of
108 samples. Analysis of the data used by the Spearman correlation test. The results of
the study found a relationship between family communication and adherence to drug
consumption in Prolanis patients in the Pekanbaru City Area with a p-value of 0.006
with a correlation coefficient value of 0,264.
