Sistem informasi akuntansi merupakan pemrosesan data yang bertujuan untuk menyediakan

informasi sebagai dasar dalam pengambilan keputusan. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk
mengetahui penerapan sistem informasi akuntansi khususnya siklus penggajian dan siklus
pengeluaran pada SMA Negeri 3 Demak. SMA Negeri 3 Demak merupakan salah satu
sekolah menengah atas di Kabupaten Demak. Penelitian ini juga bertujuan untuk
mengetahui penggunaan sistem aplikasi dalam membantu proses bisnis perusahaan dan
penerapan sistem pengendalian internal apakah telah berjalan secara efektif atau tidak.
Ruang lingkup penelitian seputar analisis atas fungsi, dokumen, prosedur, dan pengendalian
internal terkait siklus penggajian dan siklus pengeluaran pada SMA Negeri 3 Demak.
Metode penelitian yang digunakan penulis untuk memperoleh data pada SMA Negeri 3
Demak adalah studi literatur, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan
bahwa SMA Negeri 3 Demak telah melaksanakan sistem informasi akuntansi siklus
penggajian dan siklus pengeluaran sesuai dengan teori yang ada. Pemisahan fungsi pada
siklus penggajian dan siklus pengeluaran telah dilakukan dengan baik, pengendalian
terhadap dokumen terkait dengan siklus penggajian dan siklus pengeluaran sudah cukup
memadai, dan aktivitas dalam proses bisnis siklus penggajian dan siklus pengeluaran telah
dilaksanakan dengan baik. Meskipun terdapat sedikit perbedaan, hal tersebut disebabkan
kondisi terkini yang mengharuskan sistem menyesuaikan proses bisnisnya.

Accounting information systems is data processing that aims to provide

determine the application of accounting information system, especially the
payroll cycle and the expense cycle at SMA Negeri 3 Demak. SMA Negeri 3
Demak is one of the high schools in Demak Regency. This study also aims to
determine the use of application system in helping the company's business
processes and the application of the internal control system whether it has been
running effectively or not. The scope of the research revolves around the
analysis of functions, documents, procedures, and internal controls related to
the payroll cycle and expense cycle at SMA Negeri 3 Demak. The research
methods used by the author to obtain data at SMA Negeri 3 Demak are
literature studies, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that SMA
Negeri 3 Demak has implemented a payroll cycle accounting information
system and an expenditure cycle in accordance with existing theory. The
separation of functions in the payroll cycle and expenditure cycle has been
carried out properly, control of documents related to the payroll cycle and
expenditure cycle is sufficient, and activities in the payroll cycle and
expenditure cycle business processes have been carried out properly. Although
there are slight differences, this is due to the current conditions that require the
system to adjust its business processes.
