Tips Mudah Belajar Penyebutan Jam dalam Bahasa Inggris

Ada Beberapa langkah mudah untuk mempelajari dan menyebutkan waktu dalam Bahasa Inggris. Ingat
beberapa hal berikut :

1. Hafalkan angka mulai 1 – 59 dalam Bahasa Inggris baik penulisan maupun pengucapan.

2. Tentukan angka jam dan angka menit yang diwakili jarum pendek dan jarum panjang.

3. Ucapkan menit dulu baru angka jam.

4. Gunaan salah satudari tiga istilah, yaitu: O’clock, past, atau to.

5. Gunakan istilah a half untuk 30 menit dan a quarter untuk 15 menit

6. Gunakan istilah O’clock kalau jamnya pas tidak lebih, tidak kurang menitnya

7. Gunakan istilah PAST kalau menitnya lebih

8. Gunakan istilah TO kalau menitnya kurang.

Model British English inilah yang biasanya dipelajari secara serius ketika belajar meyebutkan jam dalam

09.15 dalam bahasa inggris adalah a half past nine
