DAILY ACTIVITIES
Dalam kehidupan sehari-hari tentunya kita mempunyai kegiatan-kegiatan yang rutinnya kita lakukan sehari-
hari, dari mulai bangun tidur, mandi, berangkat ke sekolah, makan, dan seterusnya. Jadi Daily Activities disebut
juga kegiatan sehari-hari yang biasanya dilakukan setiap hari oleh kita. Teks daily activities menggunakan
Simple Present Tense dan memiliki susunan yang runtut dari aktifitas ke aktifitas yang lainnya. Sebelum ke
pembentukan kalimat dan teks mari kita baca vocabulary tentang daily activities di bawah ini.

Contoh Kalimat Daily Activity

 I usually wake up at 04.30 a.m in the morning (Saya biasanya bangun pada jam 04.30 di pagi hari)
 I go to school at 06.30 a.m (Aku pergi ke sekolah jam 06.30)
 My father take me to the school with his car (Ayahku membawa aku ke sekolah dengan mobilnya)
 In the school, I study from 6.30 a.m until 11.00 a.m (Di sekolah aku belajar dari jam 6.30 - jam 11.00)

Membuat Teks Tentang Daily Activity dalam Present Tense

Untuk membuat kalimat atau teks tentang kegiatan sehari-hari terlebih dahulu ketahui grammar yang akan
dipakai.

Biasanya menggunakan format Simple Present Tense untuk mengatakan kejadian yang terus- menerus
dilakukan.

Buat kalimatnya dengan menggunakan bentuk Present Tense baik dalam kalimat positif maupun negatif. Seperti
contoh berikut.

 Contoh Kalimat Positif

I go to school everyday.

Saya pergi ke sekolah setiap hari.

Kata kerja menggunakan verb 1 dan untuk subjek (he, she, it, Anna) ditambahkan –es atau –s pada verb 1,
seperti berikut.

Anna goes to school everyday. She rides her bike

Anna pergi ke sekolah setiap hari. Dia mengendarai sepeda

 Contoh Kalimat Negatif

I dont have breakfast at home

Saya tidak sarapan dirumah

Untuk subjek You, They, We, I menggunakan don’t sementara He, She, it, Anna menggunakan kata doesn’t

Alisa doesn’t like milk for breakfast

Alisa tidak suka minum susu untuk sarapan

Elemen Yang Harus Ada Pada Teks Daily Activity

Tidak perlu bingung ketika diharuskan membuat teks dalam bahasa Inggris tentang Daily Activity, karena
pembuatannya sangat mudah bila sudah mengetahui apa saja komponen yang harus ada pada teksnya.

Menggunakan kalimat sederhana dengan bentuk Present Tense, tidak lupa dengan transitional marker dan juga
kata keterangan adalah beberapa hal yang harus ada pada sebuah teks tentang kegiatan sehari-hari.

 Transitional marker

Antara satu kalimat dengan kalimat berikutnya perlu dibuatkan transisi. Kata-kata berikut bisa digunakan di
awal kalimat, yakni After that, Then, Finally, Firstly, Next.

 Kata keterangan waktu

Walau dilakukan setiap hari, tidak ada salahnya menyebutkan keterangan waktu agar kalimat jadi lebih detail
dan panjang. Tentu juga menjadi penanda waktu yang tepat untuk memperkaya kalimat. Kata seperti in the
morning, in the afternoon, at nood, in the evening adalah beberapa contohnya.

 Adverbial Of Fequency

Karena Daily Activity menyatakan kegiatan yang diulang-ulang setiap hari maka perlu juga disebutkan
seberapa sering hal tersebut dilakukan. Contoh Katanya adalah Seldom, Usually, Often, Never, Always.

I usually wake up in the morning at 4.00 a.m. Then I immediately pray subuh. Before I go to school I already
tidied my room, breakfast, and fed my cat. I go to school at 06.30 with my father accompany me. In the school I
study from 06.30 a.m until 12.00 p.m. After school, I immediately change my clothes and have a lunch. After
that, I play with my beloved cat. In the afternoon, I usually watch TV with my family. In the night, I do my
homework and go to sleep at 09.00.

football with my friends in the field, it is really great to have a good time with friends. Then in maghrib I take a

water my plants and sweep the floor. In the night I have dinner that I cooked by myself. I have dinner when I
am watching my favorite TV show. After that I will get sleepy and go to sleep immediately

classroom with my friends. Then after the bell ring, all the students go inside the class. Then we pray together.
At school, we almost had 3 until 4 subjects to learn. At a 12.30 p.m we finish the lesson, and finally go to home.

MY DAILY ROUTINE

Some of my friends think have a boring daily routine, but I like it. I usually (1) ______ at about 6:00 or
