Sunda Kuno
Definisi :
Aksara sunda kuna atau aksara
sunda buhun merupakan aksara yang
berkembang di daerah jawa barat pada
abad ke-14 sampai abad ke-18 yang
pada awalnya digunakan untuk
menuliskan bahasa Sunda kuno.
Aksara Sunda Kuna merupakan
perkembangan dari Aksara Pallawa yang
mencapai taraf modifikasi bentuk
khasnya sebagaimana yang digunakan
naskah-naskah lontar pada abad 16.

bentuk paling awal antara lain dijumpai pada
prasasti-prasasti yang terdapat di Astana Gede,

Prasasti Kebantenan yang terdapat di
Kecamatan Jatiasih, Kota Bekasi.

Aksara Galuh

Aksara Galuh adalah salah satu aksara Sunda Kuno

yang paling terkenal. Aksara ini digunakan pada
abad ke-7 hingga ke-14 Masehi. Contoh
penggunaan aksara Galuh dapat ditemukan pada
prasasti-prasasti seperti Prasasti Kebantenan,
Prasasti Ciaruteun, dan Prasasti Lebak.
 Aksara Kawali

Aksara Kawali adalah aksara

Sunda Kuno yang digunakan pada
abad ke-14 hingga ke-16 Masehi.
Aksara ini sering ditemukan pada
prasasti-prasasti seperti Prasasti
Kawali, Prasasti Batutulis, dan
Prasasti Panawangan.
Aksara Carakan

Aksara Carakan adalah salah satu

aksara Sunda Kuno yang
digunakan pada abad ke-16 hingga
ke-19 Masehi. Aksara ini
digunakan pada naskah-naskah
seperti Serat Centhini dan Serat
Wirid Hidayat Jati.

Aksara Sunda terdapat 2 macam Aksara yaitu Aksara Sunda Kuno dan Aksara
Sunda baku. Aksara Sunda Kuno berkembang di Jawa Barat pada abad ke-14
sampai abad ke-18, dan merupakan perkembangan dari Aksara Pallawa.
Aksara Sunda baku merupakan modifikasi dari Aksara Sunda Kuno dengan
awal kemunculannya ditemukan prasasti-prasasti yang terdapat di Astana Gede,
Kecamatan Kawali, Kabupaten Ciamis. Dan Prasasti Kebantenan yang berada
di Kecamatan Jatiasih, Kota Bekasi.
Aksara Galuh adalah salah satu aksara Sunda Kuno yang paling terkenal.
Aksara Kawali adalah aksara Sunda Kuno yang digunakan pada abad ke-14
hingga ke-16 Masehi. Aksara Carakan adalah salah satu aksara Sunda Kuno
yang digunakan pada abad ke-16 hingga ke-19 Masehi.
