Healthcare-associated infections
(HAIs)
Definisi:
An infection occurring in a patient during the process
of care in a hospital or other healthcare facility which
was not present or incubating at the time of
admission.
This includes infections acquired in the hospital but
appearing after discharge,
and also occupational infections among staff of the
facility

Infeksi yang terjadi pada pasien akibat tindakan perawatan di
rumah sakit atau fasilitas pelayanan kesehatan lainnya, dimana
belum ada gejala dan tanda penyakit pada saat masuk rumah
sakit , juga tidak dalam masa inkubasi penyakit tersebut.
Perkiraan :
1 - 4 hari tambahan untuk setiap ISK/UTI
7 8 hari tambahan untuk setiap ILO /SSI
7 21 hari tambahan untuk setiap IADP/BSI
7 30 hari tambahan untuk setiap Pneumonia

(BSI)/IsolasiDuh Tubuh potensial infeksius kecuali keringat,bahkan bila tidak tampak
mengandung darah
1996 Pedoman Kewaspadaan Dibuat oleh the Healthcare Infection Control Practices Advisory
Isolasi dalam Rumah Sakit Committee (HICPAC), CDC
Menggabungkan materi inti dari UP and BSI dalam
Kewaspadaan Standard untuk diterapkan terhadap semua
pasien pada setiap waktu

STANDARD PRECAUTIONS
Assume that every person is potentially infected or
colonized with an organism that could be transmitted
in the healthcare setting.
Including:
Clostridium difficile (C-Diff)
Scabies, lice, impetigo
Patients with multiple drug Private room required
resistant organisms (MDRO) Gown required
like MRSA, VRE, and MDRO Gloves required
gram negative organisms
(i.e.Pseudomonas,
Acinetobacter).
Contact Isolation:
Patient transport:
Visitors: Visitors who are not providing direct care to patients in contact
precautions will not need to wear gown and gloves. This does not
apply to students, residents or other healthcare providers.
