ABSTRACT

This final project discusses a new Schroder-type method for finding a multiple
root of nonlinear equations. The method has a third order convergence and
requires four function evaluations per iteration. Through computational tests,
it is shown that the method converges to the root of the nonlinear equations
faster than those of the comparison methods.

 ABSTRAK

Skripsi ini membahas sebuah metode bertipe Shroder untuk mencari akar ganda
dari suatu persamaan nonlinear. Metode ini memiliki orde konvergensi tiga
dan membutuhkan empat evaluasi fungsi per iterasi. Melalui uji komputasi
ditunjukkan bahwa metode yang diusulkan lebih cepat konvergen ke akar yang
dicari dibanding metode pembanding yang dipertimbangkan.
