Anelloviridae adalah keluarga virus. Mereka diklasifikasikan sebagai virus vertebrata dan memiliki kapsid
yang tidak berselubung, berbentuk bulat dengan isometrik, simetri ikosahedral dan memiliki bilangan
triangulasi 3.

Nama ini berasal dari 'cincin' Italia anello, mengacu pada genom melingkar dari anelloviruses.

Genom tidak tersegmentasi dan mengandung satu molekul DNA untai tunggal melingkar, berindra
negatif. Genom lengkapnya memiliki panjang 3000-4000 nukleotida.[1] Mereka juga mengandung
wilayah non-coding dengan satu sampai dua urutan 80-110 nt yang mengandung konten GC tinggi,
membentuk struktur sekunder batang dan loop. Genom memiliki ORF dan tingkat keragaman genetik
yang tinggi.[3]
Meskipun mekanisme replikasi belum banyak dipelajari, anelloviridae tampaknya menggunakan
mekanisme lingkaran bergulir di mana ssDNA pertama diubah menjadi dsDNA. Hal ini membutuhkan
polimerase inang untuk replikasi terjadi karena genom itu sendiri tidak mengkode untuk polimerase
virus dan, sebagai hasilnya, anelloviridae harus bereplikasi di dalam inti sel.[4]

Anelloviridae juga memiliki dua kerangka baca terbuka utama, ORF1 dan ORF2. Mereka memulai pada

Klinis

Spesies Anellovirus sangat lazim dan beragam secara genetik. Virom mereka telah ada di sebagian besar
manusia. Mereka masuk ke dalam sel di awal kehidupan dan terus bereplikasi.[8] Ini terjadi pada bulan
pertama kehidupan. Masih diperdebatkan apakah infeksi pertama bergejala atau tidak. Mereka mungkin
ditekan oleh kekebalan inang, karena anellovirus meningkat selama imunosupresi inang.[5]

Prevalensi keseluruhan pada populasi umum lebih dari 90% dan telah ditemukan di semua benua.[2]
