6. Apa yang perlu dilakukan oleh pengembara semasa ketibaan di Pintu Masuk
Antarabangsa (PMA)?
Ya. Pengembara yang tiada gejala perlu menjalani ujian pengesanan jangkitan
COVID-19, RT-PCR semasa ketibaan di PMA.
Pengembara warganegara dan bukan warganegara yang tidak memenuhi syarat dan
kelayakan perlu menjalani kuarantin wajib di stesen kuarantin yang diwartakan oleh
kerajaan.
12. Berapa lama tempoh kuarantin wajib bagi pengembara dari luar negara?
14. Sekiranya pengembara yang tiba dari luar negara dan singgah (transit) di
Lapangan Terbang Antarabangsa Kuala Lumpur (KLIA), adakah dibenarkan
meneruskan penerbangan atau perjalanan ke negeri-negeri lain di Malaysia?
Pengembara yang tiba dari luar negara dan singgah (transit) di KLIA dibenarkan
meneruskan penerbangan atau perjalanan ke negeri-negeri lain* di Malaysia kecuali
pengembara yang bergejala, dikesan positif COVID-19 atau kontak rapat kepada kes
positif.
*Untuk kemasukan ke Sabah, Sarawak dan Labuan, sila rujuk prosedur terkini
Kerajaan Negeri masing-masing
15. Bagaimana pula dengan pengembara yang tiba dari luar negara dan singgah
(transit) di KLIA serta tidak mempunyai keputusan ujian pengesanan COVID-19
yang diperlukan untuk meneruskan perjalanan ke negara destinasi antarabangsa
yang lain?
Tidak dibenarkan untuk menjalani ujian RT-PCR COVID-19 di KLIA. Keputusan ini
dibuat berdasarkan situasi pandemik COVID-19 semasa negara ini dan kapasiti Pusat
Kuarantin dan Rawatan COVID-19 Risiko Rendah (PKRC), serta hospital kerajaan dan
swasta untuk merawat kes COVID-19 yang terhad.
16. Apa yang perlu dilakukan sekiranya PUS mengalami gejala dalam tempoh
kuarantin?
17. Apakah prosedur terkini bagi Laluan Perjalanan Lengkap Vaksin Udara Di Antara
Malaysia- Singapura ( VTL-Air dan VTL-Land)
• Hanya untuk pengembara lengkap vaksin COVID-19
• Berada di Singapura dan/atau Malaysia dalam tempoh 14 hari berturut-turut
kebelakangan sebelum berlepas ke Malaysia
• Pengembara VTL yang merupakan pelawat jangka pendek (termasuk untuk
perniagaan dan urusan rasmi) wajib mempunyai insuran pengembara dengan
liputan minimum RM 100,000 untuk kos rawatan atau kemasukan ke wad
disebabkan COVID-19. Pengembara ke Malaysia mesti membawa salinan polisi
insuran samada yang bercetak atau elektronik untuk memudahkan kemasukan
mereka ke Malaysia.
• Perlu menjalani ujian COVID-19 dalam tempoh 2 hari sebelum berlepas ke
Malaysia (kecuali kanak-kanak berumur 2 tahun ke bawah):
• RT-PCR bagi VTL-Udara
• RTK Ag (professional) atau PCR COVID-19 bagi VTL-Darat
• Semua pengembara mesti mendaftar dalam portal MySafeTravel di
https://mysafetravel.gov.my/. Ini perlu dilakukan dalam masa tujuh (7) hari, tetapi
tidak lewat daripada dua (2) hari sebelum tarikh bertolak. Pengembara perlu
memuatnaik sijil vaksinasi, selain keputusan ujian pra-pelepasan dua (2) hari
sebelum bertolak untuk tujuan verifikasi.
• Ujian COVID-19 semasa ketibaan di Malaysia
• RT-PCR di KLIA/KLIA2 bagi VTL-Udara
• RTK Ag (professional) di Terminal Bas Larkin Sentral, Johor Bahru bagi
VTL-Darat
• Tidak perlu menjalani tempoh kuarantin wajib
• Pengujian tambahan perlu dilaksanakan dalam kalangan pengembara skim VTL
yang masuk ke Malaysia dari Singapura seperti berikut:
• RTK-Ag (professional) pada hari ke-3 dan ke-5
• RTK-Ag kendiri pada hari ke-2, ke-4 dan ke-6
• Semua keputusan ujian perlu dilaporkan melalui aplikasi MySejahtera

18. Apakah prosedur terkini bagi Gelembung Pelancongan Antarabangsa Langkawi
(LITB)?
19. Apakah prosedur terkini bagi One Stop Centre (OSC) untuk pelawat perniagaan
jangka pendek?
• Pelawat perniagaan jangka pendek dengan kebenaran kemasukan yang telah
diluluskan boleh masuk dan berada dalam negara untuk tempoh 14 hari atau
kurang, dari tarikh ketibaan di Lapangan Terbang Antarabangsa Kuala Lumpur
(KLIA).
• Pelawat mestilah telah lengkap divaksinasi.
• Pelawat perniagaan jangka pendek perlu menghantar permohonan berserta
dokumen-dokumen yang berkaitan ke laman web MyEntry di
https://myentry.myxpats.com.my/app/
• Perlu menjalani ujian RT-PCR COVID-19
• dalam tempoh 2 hari sebelum berlepas dan
• semasa ketibaan di KLIA; iaitu di Business Traveller Centre (BTC) di Gate
C36.
• Tidak perlu menjalani kuarantin wajib.
• Perlu mengikuti jadual program terkawal (controlled itinerary) yang telah diluluskan
oleh Jawatankuasa OSC.
• Perlu diiringi oleh Liaison Officer (LO) yang disediakan oleh MIDA.
• Ujian tambahan COVID-19 seperti berikut:
• RTK-Antigen (professional) pada hari ke-3 dan ke-5
• RTK-Antigen (kendiri) pada hari ke-2, ke-4 dan ke-6.
• Bertanggungjawab melaporkan keputusan ujian melalui aplikasi MySejahtera dan
LO perlu memastikan ianya dilaksanakan.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ON PROCEDURES FOR
MANAGEMENT OF TRAVELLERS FROM ABROAD
• This list will be updated from time to time. Last updated 28 December 2021
5. What are the criteria that need to be met for consideration of quarantine
exemption at the quarantine centre?
i. Citizen and non-citizen travellers who have a home or residence in Malaysia
(including PR, Malaysia as My Second Home resident - MM2H and employees).
ii. A negative COVID-19 RT- PCR test result.
iii. Travellers who have completed their COVID-19 immunization
a) For two (2) dose vaccine, more than 14 days after the date of the second
dose
b) For one dose vaccine, more than 28 days from the date of vaccine injection
8. What are the procedures for travellers who have symptoms upon arrival at
PoE?
i. Travellers with mild symptoms are required to undergo a COVID-19 RTK
Antigen or RT-PCR test. If the RTK-Antigen is positive, the buffer will be sent
to the laboratory for PCR testing.
ii. These travelers are allowed to quarantine at home or residence if suitable.
Further action depends on the test results.
iii. Meanwhile, travelers with moderate / severe symptoms will be referred to an
Infectious Disease Physician / to Low Risk COVID-19 Treatment and
Quarantine Centre or Hospital. Further action is based on health assessment
and specialist decision.
9. How about the payment of COVID-19 screening test upon arrival at PoE?
The COVID-19 screening test fee is free for Malaysian citizen but borne by the non-
Malaysian traveler. Payment is to be made via https://safetravel.myeg.com.my or at
the payment counter on arrival.
10. Where will the traveller be quarantined if the application for quarantine at
home or residence is not approved?
Travellers who are not eligible for quarantine at home or residence must undergo
mandatory quarantine at quarantine stations gazetted by the government.
11. If the traveller has made payment of quarantine cost on MySafeTravel and
obtained permission for quarantine at home or residence, is it allowed to apply
for a refund?
The traveller who has made payment through MySafeTravel and do not undergo
quarantine at the quarantine station may apply for a refund through
refundcovid@moh.gov.my.
12. How long is the mandatory quarantine period for travellers from abroad?
The mandatory quarantine period for travellers from all countries is:
• 5 days for those who have received COVID-19 vaccine booster dose
• 7 days for fully vaccinated people
• 10 days for partially/non-vaccinated.
However, the quarantine period stated will be extended if the COVID-19 detection
test taken on the day of arrival or before release from quarantine is positive.
13. Where can a traveller obtain a quarantine Release Order (RO)?
i. The Release Order (RO) will be displayed in the MySejahtera application the
following day after end of quarantine date.
ii. If the PUS requires a hard copy of the RO, it can be requested from the District
Health Office.
14. Are travellers who arrive from abroad and transit at Kuala Lumpur
International Airport (KLIA) allowed to continue their flights or travel to other
states* in Malaysia?
Travellers arriving from abroad and transit at KLIA are allowed to continue their
flights or travel to other states in Malaysia except if they are symptomatic, detected
positive COVID-19 or are close contacts to a positive case.
*For entry to Sabah, Sarawak and Labuan, please refer to the respective State
Government’s latest procedure
15. What about travellers who arrive from abroad and transit at KLIA but do not
have the required COVID-19 test results to continue their journey to another
country/ international destination?
The traveller is not allowed to undergo the RT-PCR COVID-19 test at KLIA. This
decision was made based on the current COVID-19 pandemic situation of the
country whereby the capacity of the Low Risk COVID-19 Treatment and Quarantine
Centres, as well as government and private hospitals for treating COVID-19 cases
is limited.
16. What should be done if a PUS experiences symptoms during the quarantine
period?
• The PUS is required to go to a nearby health facility for health assessment
as set out in existing guidelines (refer to the Guidelines on COVID-19
Management in Malaysia No. 5/2020 (updated on 5 August 2021).
• PUS with moderate / severe symptoms has to be referred to an Infectious
Disease Physician for further action.
• PUS with mild symptoms need to undergo COVID-19 testing.
• If positive, the PUS will be referred to the Hospital, COVID-19 Quarantine
and Low Risk Treatment Centre or COVID-19 Assessment Center (CAC).
• The COVID-19 test fee is to be borne by the PUS.
17. What is the latest procedure for Malaysia-Singapore Vaccinated Travel Lane (VTL-
Air and VTL- Land)?
• Only for fully vaccinated travellers
• Remain in Singapore and/or Malaysia in the last 14 consecutive days before
departing for Malaysia
• VTL travellers who are short-term visitors (including business and official
travellers) must purchase mandatory travel insurance with a minimum
coverage of RM100,000 for COVID-19-related medical treatment and
hospitalisation costs. Travellers to Malaysia must carry with them an
electronic or physical copy of their insurance policy to facilitate their entry
into Malaysia
• COVID-19 test 2 days before departure (children aged two years and below
are exempted from the testing requirement):
• RT-PCR test for VTL Air travellers
• RTK-Ag test (professional) or RT-PCR for VTL Land travellers
• All travellers need to register at the MySafeTravel portal, accessible at
https://mysafetravel.gov.my/. This should be done within seven (7) days, but
no later than two (2) days before a traveller’s planned date of travel. They
need to upload their vaccination certificate, besides uploading the pre-
departure test two (2) days prior to travel for verification.
• COVID-19 test on arrival
• RT-PCR test in KLIA/KLIA2 for VTL Air travellers
• RTK-Ag (professional) test at Larkin Sentral Bus Terminal, Johor
Bahru for VTL Land travellers
• No quarantine required
• Additional tests required for VTL travellers entering Malaysia from
Singapore.
• RTK-Ag test (professional) on Day-3 and Day-5
• RTK-Ag self-test on Day-2, Day-4, and Day-6.
• All tests done must be reported in MySejahtera application.

18. What is the latest procedure for Langkawi International Travel Bubble (LITB)?
• Allowed for travellers from any countries (including high risk countries for
Omicron spread in the community).
• Travellers must have been fully vaccinated.
• Undergo COVID-19 PCR test within 2 days before departure (exempted for
children 2 years and below).
• Undergo COVID-19 PCR test upon arrival in Kuala Lumpur International Airport
(KLIA) for those in transit, or latest on the second day of arrival in Langkawi for
those taking direct flight.
• Given Digital HSO and can go directly to the hotel accommodation while waiting
for test results.
• Undergo a rapid antigen test (professional) on the 3rd and 5th day while in
Langkawi.
• Undergo a rapid antigen test (self-test) on the 2nd, 4th and 6th day while in
Langkawi. The traveller involved is responsible for reporting his/her test results
through the MySejahtera application.
• Undergo COVID-19 PCR / rapid molecular test within 2 days before departure
from Langkawi if planning to visit other destinations in Malaysia (on Day 8 of
being in Langkawi). For travellers going to other countries, COVID-19 pre-
departure testing requirements should follow the entry criteria of the destination
country.
19. What is the latest procedure for One Stop Centre (OSC) for short term business
travellers?
• Short-term business travellers with an approved Entry Permission can enter and
stay in the country for a period of 14 days or less, from the date of arrival at the
Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA)
• Travelers must have been fully vaccinated
• Short term business travellers need to submit their application along with all the
relevant documents via the MyEntry website, which is accesible at:
https://myentry.myxpats.com.my/app/
• Need to undergo COVID-19 RT-PCR test
• within 2 days before departure and
• upon arrival at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA); i.e. by the
Business Travellers Centre (BTC) located at gate C36
• No need to undergo mandatory quarantine.
• Must follow a controlled itinerary that has been approved by the OSC
Committee.
• Must be accompanied by a liaison officer (LO) provided by MIDA.
• Additional tests as follows:
§ Undergo a rapid antigen test (professional) on the 3rd and 5th day
§ Undergo a rapid antigen test (self-test) on day 2, 4 and 6. Responsible
for reporting test results through the MySejahtera application and LO
must ensure it is implemented.

20. What is the procedure to enter Malaysia for post-COVID-19 infected travellers
(commencing 13 January 2022)?
• Travellers who are fully vaccinated and have been infected with COVID-19
within 11 – 60 days before departure are EXEMPTED from mandatory
quarantine.
• Unvaccinated and not fully vaccinated travellers are required to undergo
quarantine at a quarantine centre for 7 days.
• All documents (i), (ii) and (iii) must be brought and shown to the health or airline
authorities at the International Point of Entry, if requested.
• Travellers are required to undergo a supervised RTK-Ag test in front of a
healthcare worker upon arrival.
• If the RTK-Ag test is positif on arrival and the traveler has no or mild symptoms,
the traveler is allowed to isolate at home if the house is suitable.
• Meanwhile, travellers who have moderate to severe symptoms will be referred to
a Low Risk COVID-19 Treatment and Quarantine Centre or to Hospital.
1. Wear a face mask throughout the journey from the International Point of Entry
(PoE) to your house or residence.
2. Quarantine in a separate room from family members.
3. The room should have an attached bathroom.
4. Wear a face mask if you need to leave the room in the house or residence and
avoid close interaction with others. Limit your distance for at least two (2) meters
from the others.
5. Make sure the ventilation of the house or residence is in a good condition such as
by opening the windows.
6. Food should be delivered to the room by family members (only placed outside the
room).
7. Surveillance wristband or digital tracking device shall be worn throughout the
period of Home Surveillance Order (HSO).
8. Must always be contactable (by telephone number).
9. Must stay at home or residence throughout the period of the HSO.
10. If you have symptoms, always wear a face mask. Close your mouth and nose with
tissue when coughing or sneezing. Dispose the used tissue into the waste
container and wash hands immediately with soap or hand sanitizer. Seek treatment
at a nearby health facility for health assessment.
