Yesterday, I went home late because I had a meeting with OSIS. We had a meeting
to prepare for the Independence Day events. On my way home, I remembered that I left
my notebook in the OSIS room, so I returned to the school to get it. Luckily, OSIS
members were still there; Iko the treasurer and Karla the general affairs coordinator.
They were just about to leave when I arrived. Then, we decided to go home together.
We were passing the library when we suddenly heard a loud noise coming from
inside of it. We looked through the library window to see what happened. The library
was in chaos. The books were scattered on the floor, a few closets fell on the floor and
shards from broken glasses were everywhere.
We reported this to the school caretaker, Mr. Handoko. He took the library key and
immediately went to the library. We followed him to help. Mr. Handoko tried to lift the
closets back up, Iko helped clean the shards while Karla and I collected the books. Mr.
Hari told us to go home because it was almost evening and let him take care of the rest.
However, Iko and Karla refused. The two really wanted to help. They didn’t seem to
feel burdened by doing it. I guess that’s why they were joining the OSIS.
We found out that the cause for the mess was because one closet broke its legs and
then it fell and hit the other closets. We then propped the legless closet with a brick, so
