Comparative Degree
Comparative degree digunakan untuk membandingkan 2 hal yang berbeda, bisa lebih baik
atau kurang baik.

Her house is bigger than mine.

S + V + more + adj + than + Noun/Pronoun (Untuk
kata lebih dari 1 suku kata = beautiful, expensive,
careless)

kata yang terdiri dari 1 suku kata = small, long, old) dari 1 suku kata = handsome, expensive, careless)
Example:

English than her friend.

2 This park looks more

beautiful than the other park.

3 This food is less spicy than that

one.
1. Kata yang ber-ending -y, huruf “y” tersebut direduksi kemudian ditambahkan suffix –ier.
Contoh Comparative Degree :
cloudy-cloudier
easy-easier Today is cloudier than yesterday
happy-happier (Hari ini lebih mendung dari kemarin.) comparative adjective
lucky-luckier This dress is prettier than that one.
pretty-prettier (Gaun ini lebih cantik dari yang itu.) comparative adjective

2. Beberapa adjective dapat dibentuk dengan menambahkan suffix -er.

Superlative degree digunakan untuk membandingkan 3 hal atau lebih.

(Untuk kata lebih dari 1 suku

The use of ‘the’ before superlative degree

She's the most beautiful girl I've ever seen.

Why?

lazy-laziest (Saya akan mengatakan padamu cara termudah untuk mengatasi
