 Pengertian
● Amanat adalah pesan pengarang yang disampaikan kepada pembaca melalui karyanya. Pesan yang
dimaksud seperti pesan orang tua kepada yang lebih muda atau pesan cinta. pesan moral dalam cerita yang
ingin disampaikan pengarang kepada pembaca berupa nilai-nilai luhur yang bisa dijadikan teladan atau
dijadikan contoh.

● Menurut Kamus Besar Bahasa Indonesia (KBBI), amanat adalah memberi pesan. Amanat juga dapat
diartikan sebagai wejangan dari penulis yang disampaikan pembicara untuk dimengerti dan diterima
pendengar atau pembaca.

● Dengan begitu dapat dijabarkan bahwa amanat dalam cerpen berisikan nasihat, nilai baik dan pesan moral
yang terkandung dalam suatu karya fiksi. Isi amanat yaitu berupa nasihat yang terkandung dalam karya
sastra. Misalnya, contoh karya sastra fiksi seperti dongeng, novel, cerita pendek (cerpen), fabel, ataupun
naskah drama.
 Amanat dalam
cerpen terbagi
atas dua jenis yaitu
 1. Amanat
Tersirat
Jenis pertama yaitu amanat tersirat
yang umumnya berisikan beberapa
pesan moral dalam sebuah cerpen yang
disampaikan secara tidak langsung.
Biasanya amanat tersirat disampaikan
secara implisit alias sembunyi yang
dapat diketahui jika kamu membaca
alur cerita cerpen dari awal hingga
akhir.
2. Amanat
Tersurat
Jenis kedua yaitu amanat tersurat
yang berisikan tentang pesan
moral yang disampaikan secara
langsung. Amanat tersurat dapat
diketahui dengan mudah sebab
berisikan kalimat deskriptif yang
dapat dimengerti oleh para
pembaca.
Ciri-ciri
Amanat
• Pesan moral yang disampaikan dalam suatu karya

• Biasanya terdapat di bagian akhir cerita

• Pesan moral yang disampaikan pengarang ditujukan untuk

pendengar, penonton maupun pembaca

• Amanat berisi saran, ajakan, ataupun imbauan.

• Untuk hal-hal yang baik, pesannya berisi agar pendengar atau

pembaca mau melakukan sesuai apa yang ada pada amanat
dalam cerita tersebut. Misalnya, kata pedulilah, bantulah, dan
lain-lain.

• Untuk hal-hal negatif, pendengar atau pembaca diimbau untuk

tidak melakukan hal yang ada dalam cerita. Biasanya ditandai
dengan penggunaan kata jangan, hindari atau tidak perlu
melakukan hal tersebut.
Contoh amanat
 Contoh Amanat Tersurat
Pak Balam menutup matanya kembali dan memandang mencari
muka Wak Katok. Saat pandangan mereka bertaut, Pak Balam
berkata kepada Wak Katok, "Hey! akuilah dosa-dosamu Wak
Katok, dan sujudlah ke hadirat Tuhan, mintalah ampun kepada
Tuhan yang Maha Pengampun, supaya dapat selamat keluar dari
rimba ini, terjauh dari rimba ini, terjauh dari bahaya yang dibawa
harimau... biarlah aku yang jadi korban."

Amanat yang terkandung dalam kutipan tersebut yaitu, kita perlu

bertaubat dan meminta ampunan atas dosa yang telah diperbuat.
Kita juga harus yakin, kalau Tuhan pasti akan mengampuninya,
karena Ia Maha Pengampun. Dengan demikian, hidupmu akan
selamat.
Contoh Amanat Tersirat
• Pak Balam kemudian berkata dengan suara
seperti orang yang sedang mengigau, "Awas,
harimau itu dikirim oleh Tuhan, untuk
menghukum kita yang berdosa, awas harimau
itu dikirim Allah, akuilah dosa-dosa kalian."

Amanat yang tersirat dalam kutipan tersebut

adalah manusia perlu mengakui dosa-dosanya.
Manusia juga perluminta ampun atas dosa yang
telah diperbuatnya. Kita harus percaya, karena
Tuhan pasti akan membalas perbuatan dosa-
dosa itu.
