PENGERTIAN
MENURUT AHLI
 Ada beberapa ahli yang mengemukakan pengertian
ilmu ekonomi, salah satunya yaitu Adam Smith.
 Adam Smith
Adam Smith adalah seorang ekonom asal
Skotlandia yang dikenal sebagai Bapak Ekonomi Dunia.
Adam Smith dalam bukunya An Inquiry into the Nature
and Causes of the Wealth of Nations (1776)
menyebutkan bahwa ekonomi adalah ilmu penyelidikan
tentang keadaan dan sebab adanya kekayaan negara.
SECARA UMUM
Ilmu ekonomi dapat diartikan sebagai ilmu yang
mempelajari segala tingkah laku manusia yang bertujuan
untuk mendapatkan dan mengelola sumber daya yang
terbatas. Selain itu, ekonomi juga diartikan sebagai
usaha dalam membuat alternatif barang atau jasa untuk
memuaskan kebutuhan hidup manusia yang tidak
terbatas.
SECARA SYARIAH
Ekonomi syariah merupakan ilmu pengetahuan
sosial yang mempelajari masalah-masalah ekonomi
rakyat yang dilhami oleh nilai-nilai Islam. Ekonomi
syariah atau sistem ekonomi koperasi berbeda dari
kapitalisme, sosialisme, maupun negara kesejahteraan
(Welfare State).
