Pemanfaatan Buku Elektronik (E-Book) Dalam Mendukung Program Perguruan Tinggi dalam Mewujudkan Aksebilitas Buku Pelajaran Bagi

Mahasiswa Tidak Mampu

Dalam pasal 31 ayat 2 UUD 1945 disebutkan bahwa, Tiap-tiap warga negara berhak untuk pendidikan. Dalam pasal diatas tidak ada pembedaan bagi warga negara baik dari golongan kaya aupun miskin, dan hak tersebut dilindungi oleh negara melalui konstitusi. Melalui program bidik misi, perguruan tinggi berusaha untuk meningkatkan harkat dan martabat bagi masyarakat Indonesia yang kurang mampu dalam hal ekonomi. Namun keadaan ekonomi tetap saja menjadi penghalang bagi masyarakat tidak mampu untuk mendapatkan akses bagi buku-buku pelajaran. Padahal, seringkali sebuah mata pelajaran menuntut mahasiswanya untuk memiliki buku pelajaran yang diwajibkan. Hal ini tentu memberatkan bagi para mahasiswa yang kurang mampu. Pemanfaatan University Press dalam rangka mempublikasikan karya-karya intelektual merupakan salah satu unsur penting dalam upaya meningkatkan kualitas bagi para akademisi dan kepada masyarakat luas. Salah satu misi universitas untuk megabdi terhadap masyarakat dapat termujud dengan cara mendistribusikan karya-karya ilmiah pada masyarakat yang manfaatnya dapat dengan cepat dirasakan oleh masyarakat banyak, khusunya bagi mahasiswa yang kurang mampu. Melalui perkembangan teknologi, muncullah Ellectronic Book (e-book) dan Digital Talking Book (DTB), usaha untuk mewujudkan amanah dari Pasal 31 ayat 2 UUD 1945 dapat terlaksana. Melalui sistem ini, mahasiswa yang kurang mampu dapat mengakses ilmu pengetahuan dan informasi dalam bentuk software. Sehingga dapat membantu menekan jumlah pengeluaran bagi mahasiswa tidakn mampu. Permasalahan saat ini adalah kurangnya jumlah produk E-Book yang dapat diakses oleh para mahasiswa yang kurang mampu. Kata Kunci: Mahasiswa tidak mampu, Buku Eletronik, Univerity Press

Utilization of Electronic Books (E-Book) to Support The Program of Collage to Creating accessibility of Textbooks For Poor Students By: Daniel Roring In Article 31, paragraph 2 of the 1945 Constitution states that, "Every citizen has the right to education". In the above article there is no distinction for both the citizens of the rich or poor, and that right is protected by the state through the constitution. Through the Bidik Misi program, the college seeks to enhance the dignity of the people of Indonesia who are less capable in economic terms. But the state of the economy remains a barrier for people not able to get access to textbooks. In fact, it is often a subject requires students to have textbooks that are required. It is certainly burdensome for poor students. Utilization University Press in order to publish the works of intellectual property is one of the important elements in improving the quality of the academics and the public. One of the university's mission to serve the community can be realized by means of distributing scientific works on community benefits can quickly be felt by many people, especially for poor students. Through the development of technology, comes Ellectronic Book (e-book) and the Digital Talking Book (DTB), the attempt to realize the mandate of Article 31 paragraph 2 of the Constitution 1945can be accomplished. Through this system, students who are less able to access knowledge and information in the form of software. So it can help reduce the amount of spending for students tidakn afford.
