tentacles. The word “Octopus” comes from two Greek word that mean “Eight Feet”.
The octopus, the squid and the cuttlefish belong to the same family that has no outside shells.

a) x2 + 7x + 12
a = 1, b = 7 dan c = 12

ac = (1)(12) = 12, b = 7

Cari dua buah angka jika dikali = 12, jika ditambah = 7

Didapat angka 4 dan 3

Sehingga:
x2 + 7x + 12 = (x + 4)(x + 3)

b) x2 + 2x − 48
a = 1, b = 2 dan c = − 48

ac = − 48, b=2
Cari dua angka jika dikali − 48 jika dijumlah 2

Dapat angka 8 dan − 6

Sehingga :
x2 + 2x − 48 = (x + 8)(x − 6)

Faktorkan bentuk kuadrat berikut:
a) 2x2 + x −6
b) 5x2 + 3x − 2

Pembahasan
a) 2x2 + x −6
a = 2, b = 1 dan c = − 6

ac = (2)(−6) = −12
b=1
Cari dua angka jika dikali = -12, jika dijumlah = 1
dapat angka 4 dan − 3

(2x + 4)(2x − 3)

2x + x − 6 = = (x + 2)(2x − 3)
