Disusun dan diterbitkan oleh Pengurus Pusat Kickboxing Indonesia, sebagai pedoman dasar pelaksanaan
standarisasi tingkatan sabuk dalam cabang olahraga Kickboxing di Indonesia. Pedoman dasar ini mengacu pada
peraturan dan standarisasi dari World Association of Kickboxing Organizations (WAKO) yang telah disesuaikan
dengan karakteristik dan kondisi di Indonesia.

KATA PENGANTAR

Salam Olahraga!

Puji dan syukur kita panjatkan ke hadirat Allah SWT bahwa dengan perkenan-Nya, Tim 11 yang
dibentuk oleh Pengurus Pusat Kickboxing Indonesia, telah menyelesaikan pengembangan
Pedoman Grading Tahapan Dasar Fisik & Sabuk Kickboxing Indonesia edisi 1. Dokumen ini
ditujukan untuk diaplikasikan oleh seluruh praktisi cabang olahraga Kickboxing di Indonesia.
Diharapkan pemanfaatan buku pedoman ini dapat menjadi acuan/panduan dalam pelaksanaan
standarisasi tingkatan sabuk dalam cabang olahraga Kickboxing di bawah naungan Pengurus
Pusat Kickboxing Indonesia. Sehingga pada akhirnya terdapat keseragaman penyajian materi
keterampilan olahraga Kickboxing dan dapat memberikan kualitas kemampuan atlet yang
dapat bersaing di kejuaraan-kejuaraan kickboxing tingkat dunia.

Pengurus Pusat Kickboxing Indonesia (PP.KBI) sebagai induk organisasi cabang olahraga
Kickboxing yang telah menjadi anggota KONI dan Komite Olimpiade Indonesia (NOC) serta
telah menjadi anggota WAKO sebagai International Federation Sports (IFs), berkewajiban
membina dan mengembangkan prestasi atlet-atlet Kickboxing Indonesia. Oleh karenanya
penyusunan buku pedoman standarisasi tingkatan sabuk ini sangatlah penting dan mendasar
dalam peningkatan kualitas olahraga Kickboxing. Tentunya hal ini tak lepas dari peran serta
seluruh Pengurus Provinsi, Pengurus Kota/Kabupaten dan Camp Kickboxing di Indonesia.

Kami mengucapkan terima kasih kepada semua pihak yang telah berpartisipasi dalam
penyusunan Buku Pedoman Grading Tingkatan Dasar Fisik & Sabuk Kickboxing Indonesia ini,
sehingga dapat terselesaikan dengan baik.

Akhirnya, kami berharap Buku Pedoman ini dapat diterapkan dengan baik oleh seluruh praktisi
olahraga Kickboxing di Indonesia, kami juga mengharapkan masukan agar kurikulum ini dapat
disempurnakan sesuai perkembangan.

PEMBAHASAN LAIN
Jika latihan untuk meningkatkan fleksibility diberikan dengan metoda PNF, agar tetap memperhatikan kaidah-kaidah PNF sehingga tidak
menimbulkan cedera. PNF bentuk latihan untuk meningkatkan fleksibity yang paling baik, diantara metode yang ada, namum kaidah-
kaidah PNF sebaiknya diperhatikan dengan cermat.

PEMBAHASAN LAIN
Jika latihan untuk meningkatkan fleksibility diberikan dengan metoda PNF, agar tetap memperhatikan kaidah-kaidah PNF sehingga tidak
menimbulkan cedera. PNF bentuk latihan untuk meningkatkan fleksibity yang paling baik, diantara metode yang ada, namum kaidah-
kaidah PNF sebaiknya diperhatikan dengan cermat.

GOALS
In order to improve the level of theoretical and practical knowledge of the Students/
Athletes and members of Asian Kickboxing Confederation and to unify their
technical level in obtaining different belt degrees of Kickboxing sport (tatami and
ring disciplines), the regulations for obtaining belt degrees of kickboxing sports
(tatami and ring disciplines) are compiled as follows.

NOTE
The knee techniques mentioned in this regulation are related to the K1 Rules style
(one of the ring disciplines) in different degrees of that style.
The elbow techniques mentioned in this regulation are related to the musical form
(one of the tatami disciplines) and in its different styles.
This revision of regulations has been reviewed and approved by the board of
directors of Asian Kickboxing Confederation upon the proposal of the Coach and
Technical committees of the Asian Kickboxing Confederation.
WHITE BELT GRADE TO YELLOW BELT GRADE (1 TO 5 MONTHS)
Students / athletes must have learned the following within a period of 1 to 5 months and
be able to perform the mentioned items and techniques at the time of the test.

STUDENTS/ ATHLETES WILLINGNESS


 Muscle stretching, body movements, general fitness

EXECUTE GUARD POSITIONS

 Front guard, right and left - side guard right and left position

PERFORM MOVEMENTS

 Semi movements forward and backward


 Movement forward and backward
 Move forward (going forward) with the back leg (step forward with the help of
the back leg and hitting the planned technique)

EXECUTION OF BASIC PRINCIPLES:

BLOCKING (DEFENSE), PUNCHES, KICKS, KNEE

 Blocking (Defense) inward and outward (deviation toward inwards or outwards


with the palm or wrist of hand)
 Blocking (Defense) body inward and outward (deviation toward inwards or
outwards with the palm or wrist of arm)
 Blocking (Defense) low (pushing towards the floor by the palm of the hand)
 Strike right or left straight (jab)
 Strike by the back elbow (on the side guard (side)) right or left guard
 punch with the back of the hand, straight fist
 How to perform a leg kick to the ankle, front Knee strike, front and left and right
guard (Position/stance)
 Front kick left and right in guard (Position/stance)
 Roundhouse knee in the left and right guard (Position/stance)
 Roundhouse Kick strike right and left guard (Position/stance) - at different levels
NOTE:

 All the above principles must be done in a fixed position and moving forward in
the left and right guard.

COMBINATIONS

SIDE GUARD POSITION

 Punch with the back of the hand and straight fist, Roundhouse kick with the front
leg along with the hand straight fist (punch backhand)

IN FRONT GUARD POSITION

 Front hand punch (Jab) + straight fist + hook (in fixed position and moving
forward)
 High defense inward or outward + direct straight punch
 Middle defense to the outside or inside + direct punch
 Low defense + direct hand blow (punch)
 Front hand punch (Jab) + straight fist + forward kick with back leg (in fixed
position and forward movement)
 Front Kick and then step forward + jab + straight (punch with back hand)
 Roundhouse kick with the back leg (with one forward movement) + direct punch
back hand + front hand hook

OTHER CONSIDERATIONS

YELLOW BELT GRADE TO ORANGE BELT GRADE (6 TO 12 MONTHS)
Students / athletes must have learned the following within a period of 6 to 12 months and
be able to perform the mentioned items and techniques at the time of the test.

 Skipping Roping
 Running Preparations: Ready to run and repeat sprints

EXECUTION OF GUARD STATUS

 Change the mode of the front guard to the side guard and vice versa

PERFORM MOVEMENTS

 On-site movements left and right


 Side movements in the left and right guard
 Sliding (penetrating) on the guard with the back leg
 Moving the front guard to the side guard and vice versa (by changing the guard)

PERFORM BASIC PRINCIPLES: PUNCHES, KICKS, KNEE -ELBOW –


GRAB (CLINCH)

 Able to perform all techniques from previous grade


 Block by the shin
 Low Kick block with deviation inward or outward
 Kick deviations
 Right and left hand hit inwards; Hit right and left hand outwards
 Front elbow strike from the bottom going upwards
 How to control the opponent in clinch – (grab by K1 Rules)
 Side Kick (kick to the side) with right and left leg. Perform left and right Low Kick
strikes on the opponent's thigh external and internal
 Hook Kick and Axe Kick with front and back leg inward and outward,
 Sweep the heel of the opponent's leg by the back leg
NOTE:

 All the principles mentioned above should be done in a fixed position and
advanced movements in the left and right guards.

COMBINATIONS

IN SIDE GUARD POSITION


 Sweeping with the heel and performing a sudden attack with the hand
 Hit with the front hand and direct punch both by penetrating (sliding) forward
 Side Kick with movement + straight hand and fist punch
 Hook Kick and roundhouse Kick with the same leg + punch with the opposite hand
 Side Kick and roundhouse Kick with the same leg + punch with the opposite hand

IN FRONT, GUARD POSITION

 Front Kick with the back leg + punch with the opposite hand + Axe Kick with the
back leg
 Move to the right + roundhouse kick with the left leg + punch with the opposite
hand and vice versa
 Pull (deviation) the body to the right + punch with the opposite hand +
Roundhouse Kick with the front leg
 Pull (deviation) the body to the left + hook with the front hand + Axe Kick with the
back leg
 Low Kick on the external thigh + punch with the opposite hand
 Must be able to perform all of the above combinations with the opponent (partner).

OTHER STUDIES

 Complete knowledge of the history and development of kickboxing (tatami and


ring disciplines)
 Practice shadow in front of the mirror
 Familiarity with working on a boxing bag
 Tactics: Learn the different aspects of fighting in one area and moving back and
forth, and execute them.

ORANGE BELT GRADE TO GREEN BELT GRADE (13 TO 18 MONTHS)
Students / athletes must have learned the following within a period of 13 to 18 months
and be able to perform the mentioned items and techniques at the time of the test.

 Interval training introduction (presentation of distance)

 Semi-circular movements

 Arm blocks against punches and kicks to the face and side of the body
 Direct punch combination+ inward strike of back hand
 Inward front hand strike + inward strike of back hand
 Switching stance + jab + opposite hand
 Axe kick right and left
 Sweep followed by Axe kick
 Heel usage in kicks
 Low kicks strike to inside of the thigh
 Front kick moving forward
 Inward Axe kick by the back leg and then front leg
 Outside Axe kick by the back leg and then front leg

 Jab + opposite hand strike + front Axe kick inward-out and outward-in by the
back leg
 Sweep + opposite punch
 Front kick by the front leg + Axe kick inward and outward by the back leg while
moving forward
 Showing a low kick + opposite punch
 Sweep by the front leg + Axe kick followed by a hand hook

OTHER STUDIES

TACTICS

 Deceptive techniques and strategies


 Tactical situations: ducking the opponent’s attack, clash, counter attack
 Boxing bag work and familiarity with the speedball
 Knowledge of the various styles of kickboxing (Tatami and Ring Styles)

NOTE:
 To obtain this belt grade, it is necessary for the Student/ Athlete to participate in
a national tournament (club and/or other national level tournaments).
 Those who cannot compete are required to learn a musical Forms with its
theory to be tested.
GREEN BELT GRADE TO BLUE BELT GRADE (19 TO 24 MONTHS)
Students / athletes must have learned the following within a period of 19 to 24 months
and be able to perform the mentioned items and techniques at the time of the test.

STUDENT/ ATHLETE WILLINGNESS

 Familiarity with preparation of Physical condition (weight increase and muscle


power increase)

BASIC PRINCIPLES: BLOCKING- DEFENSE-PUNCHING-KICKING

 Able to perform all techniques from previous grades


 Palm strike (in standing position and advanced movements)
 Outward blows
 Elbow strike in front of you
 Elbow strike to the side of you
 Elbow to the back of you
 Roundhouse kick with lightly bent leg
 360 jump turning sidekick
 360 degree side hook Kick
 Front Kick in a standing position and advanced movement
 Replacement of all learned techniques of hands and feet
 Strike Roundhouse kicks by sliding forward (at least 5 strikes)
 Learning different body-to-body combats (all kickboxing styles)

COMBINATIONS

IN SIDE STANCE

 Show front fist + elbow strike,


 Elbow strike + direct punch + pullback + side kick with penetration forward,
 Combination of double and triple kicks in sliding and forward penetration,
 Show hook Kick + side Kick with the same leg + hand strike
 Hook Kick with front leg + side Kick with the same leg with forward penetration,
 Hook Kick and round house Kick with front leg + side Kick with moving and
penetrating forward,
 Move to the side and return to the previous position and hit the opposite fist,
 Diagonal displacement by changing the direction with the side Kick.

IN FRONT GUARD POSITION

 Front Kick with front leg + side Kick with back leg + opposite punch + hook with
front hand,
 Jab hit + opposite fist + Axe kick (when moving sideways) inward and outward
 Low Kick used as counter attack to high roundhouse Kick,
 Sweeping (reaping the opponent's leg) as a defense against a high roundhouse
kick,
 Switch Low Kick front leg + jump turning side kick + Roundhouse Kick with the
front leg,
 Roundhouse Kick with the front leg with penetration forward + side Kick on the
body + low Kick with the back leg,
 Jab + Opposite Fist + Hook Hitting with Front Hand + Axe Rotary Jump Kick +
Low Kick with Opposite Leg,
 Semi side lateral movement + grabbing the head + knee strike to the head.

OTHER STUDIES

 Ability to perform all techniques learned with an opponent,


 It is also required to perform interval exercises on the bag and the physical
condition to sparring/training with opponent.

NOTES:

 To obtain this belt grade, it is necessary for the Student/ Athlete to participate in
a technical seminar at the national level in one of the kickboxing styles (tatami
and ring disciplines),
 The Student/Athlete must participate at least in one national (club) tournament
and for those who cannot compete, learning a musical form with its theory is
required.
BLUE BELT GRADE TO BROWN BELT GRADE (25 TO 30 MONTHS)
Students / athletes must have learned the following within a period of 25 to 30 months
and be able to perform the mentioned items and techniques at the time of the test.

STUDENTS/ ATHLETES WILLINGNESS

FUNDAMENTALS: BLOCKS – PUNCHES – KICKS


 Outside strikes
 All 180 degrees turning kicks going forward and back and in-situ 360 degrees
turning kicks
 Body to body work particularly: how to get a score and how to be inaccessible for
their opponent
 Jumping kicks and Jump turning kicks: all from the back where applicable for the
turning kicks
 Shadow practice for 3 minutes: 1 minute hands only, 1 minute legs only, 1 minute
hands and legs
 Open fighting: 1minute semi contact, 1minute light/full, and 1minute low kick

COMBINATIONS

IN SIDE-STANCE POSITION:

 Blitz (when you are targeted) + backward movement + opposite punch


while moving forward
 Roundhouse kick, Hook kick+ palm strike front hand + back punch
 Hook kick while moving backward + back punch
 Turning hook kick while moving forward + roundhouse kick by the same leg
 Side kick while sliding forward + hook kick/ roundhouse kick to the face by the
same leg + hand strike inward-out
 Series of side/roundhouse kicks to the sliding forward (at least 3 strikes)

IN FRONT-STANCE POSITION:

 Front hand hook+ back punch + front low kick


 Front Axe kick + back punch+ back low kick to the calf
 Straight jab followed by a low kick + back hand hook + low kick
 Blocking with backward slipping of the body + forward circular movement + back
low kick
 Moving forward followed by leg sweeping while the opponent is attacking
 3 back kicks while jumping and turning (butterfly kicks)
OTHER CONSIDERATIONS

 Be able to control the punches and hit the target.

TACTIC

 Study of the fighting area of the mat, the ring and what are the best
movements to use how/when to get out of a difficult situation.
 Learn the musical form (for the athletes who do not compete)

NOTE:

 The Student/Athlete must at least participate in two national tournaments.


BROWN BELT GRADE TO BLACK BELT GRADE 1ST DEGREE (31 TO 36 MONTHS)
MUST BE AT LEAST 14 YEARS OLD.
Students / athletes must have learned the following within a period of 31 to 36 months
and be able to perform the mentioned items and techniques at the time of the test.

STUDENT/ATHLETE WILLINGNESS

 Velocity and resistance training

THE BASICS: BLOCKING-PUNCHING-KICKING

 Able to perform all techniques from previous grades


 Variations of Hook Kicks
 variation of Axe Kicks
 Blocking all leg kicks and techniques learned
 Semi movement and moving with all techniques
 All the previous techniques mentioned in the program.

COMBINATIONS

IN THE SIDE GUARD POSITION (SIDE)


 stamping of foot throwing a fake Kick or throwing any type of Kick. The use of the
stamp of foot is used as trampoline of the blitz + blitz
 Fake body strike + side kick to body, moving off then roundhouse kick to the face
 Jumping Roundhouse Kick+ Front Jump Kick,
 Multiple blows of the Roundhouse kick penetrating forward with different targets
(at least 3 blows) + sudden attack,
 Use the side Kick as a defense + back kick with the opposite leg,
 Stepping back with hook kick as defense + back kick with opposite leg.

IN FRONT GUARD POSITION


 Opposite punch + front leg Axe Kick + low kick back leg,
 Jab + straight punch + switch/Low Kick front leg + turning back kick,
 Deviation to the right hook punch off front hand to the body + opposite punch to
the face + low kick front leg to inside of thigh + straight punch
 Sliding front Kick + Low Kick back leg + Straight punch to the face + Roundhouse
Kick + Roundhouse Kick back leg,
 Roundhouse Kick with forward penetration + jump turning roundhouse Kick.

OTHER STUDIES
 Ability to use all learned techniques as self-defense and demonstrate it,
 Defense against punches to the face,
 Defense against kicks to the body,
 Defense against strangle holds to the neck,
 Have detailed information and good knowledge about the different rules of
kickboxing styles (tatami and ring disciplines) even for those who are not active
or do not compete.

NOTE:

 Referee in at least one national competition/tournament


1ST DEGREE BLACK BELT GRADE TO 2ND DEGREE BLACK BELT GARDE
At least 2 years must have passed since the exam and receiving the 1st
degree black belt.
Students / athletes must have learned the following and be able to perform the
mentioned items and techniques at the time of the test.
Excellent performance of all the mentioned items, including national training
sessions is required.

TACTICS AND TECHNIQUES


 Able to perform all techniques from previous grades
 Excellent ability to perform all punches, techniques, combinations in forward and
backward guard, jump, turning jump,
 Ability to demonstrate kickboxing standards qualities (both tatami and ring
disciplines), and what are organic qualities both body part and muscle part
 Provide explanations on how the cinematic (theatrical) features qualities are,
 Provide explanations of how the physical properties qualities are,
 Provide explanations for all these questions in written and oral and explanations
of nutrition theory.
2ND DEGREE BLACK BELT GRADE TO 3RD DEGREE BLACK BELT GRADE
At least 3 years must have passed since the exam and receiving the 2nd
degree black belt.
Students / athletes who may fail the test may retake the test at a later date
determined by the Asian Kickboxing Confederation Technical Committee.

 Performing all the mentioned items in an excellent way + Student/ Athlete


willingness during the training period + during the fight + during the break,
 Be aware of the nutritional conditions of a Student/ Athlete (student/athlete who
participates in competitions), be aware of how to improve the performance of a
Student/ Athlete and be aware of the type of food and supplements and their
consumption before and after the fight and during training,
 Provide a brief thesis on the sport of kickboxing (tatami and ring disciplines),
 Nutrition: how a student/ athlete can maintain weight,
 Can write a meal plan for a novice student/ athlete.
 Be able to write a thesis on a topic raised in the sport of kickboxing (tatami and
ring disciplines).

Some exam topics can be orally related to specialized subjects and lead to the
presentation of a thesis with at least 30 pages.
3RD DEGREE BLACK BELT GRADE TO 4TH DEGREE BLACK BELT GRADE
At least 4 years must have passed since the exam and receiving the 3rd
degree black belt.

 Performing all the mentioned items in an excellent way + student/athlete


willingness during the training period + during the fight + during the break,
 Being aware of the nutritional conditions of students/ athletes, especially students/
athletes who participate in competitions, be aware of how to improve the
performance of a student/ athlete and be aware of the type of food and
supplements and their consumption before and after the fight and during training,
 Having Successful experiences of participating in national kickboxing
competitions and official competitions of different international levels (under the
auspices of Asian Kickboxing Confederation (WAKO ASIA) and WAKO),
 Regarding the sport of kickboxing (tatami and ring disciplines) can present a
thesis in detail,
 Nutrition: how a student/ athlete can maintain his weight,
 be able to set a meal plan for a novice student/ athlete,
 Has successfully passed the anti-doping course.
5TH DEGREE BLACK BELT GRADE AND UPWARDS
From 5th Degree black belt grade and upwards, all exams can be oral with
specialized topics and in the form of a thesis with at least 40 pages.

 The President of the National Kickboxing Federation/Association can, after


obtaining a written authorization from Asian Kickboxing Confederation and the
approval of the its Technical Committee grant the 5th degree black belt grade and
upwards degree black belt grade as a qualification in a special case or promotion
to a member in national Kickboxing Federation/Association,

 Asian Kickboxing Confederation may, at the request of the Technical Committee


and after approval by the Asian Kickboxing Confederation Board of Directors,
award the 5th Degree black belt grade or higher as merit in a particular case or
promotion to Asian Kickboxing Confederation and or national Kickboxing
Federation/Association.
