Treble by-pass filter

NOTE: This device prevents treble loss when lowering the
volume BUT will change the way the pot swells,
at the high end of the range it won’t swell as much.
The minimum amount of bypass is desirable
to prevent unwanted change.
Change the value of the cap to .001 for a higher frequency,
or to .0018 for a lower frequency.
A note on capacitors: Change the value of the resistor to 150K for less effect,
or to 120K for more effect.
The value of the tone capacitor will determine
how much of the top end will be cut by the tone
control. The higher the value, the muddier the
tone will be when the tone control is turned Standard wiring with
down. The tone capacitor on early Strats was
0.1mF, this was changed to .047mF in the 1970's. two tone controls. from pickups
Modern Strats use .022mF. The voltage rating
is not important however a 630 volt cap has foil shield
thicker wires that are easier to work with.
