Variabel Penelitian
Variabel penelitian adalah sesuatu yang ditetapkan oleh peneliti untuk
dipelajari dan bertujuan memperoleh informasi mengenai hal yang ingin diteliti
untuk kemudian ditarik kesimpulan berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut
(Sugiyono, 2010). Terdapat tiga variabel dalam penelitian ini yaitu:

Subjek Penelitian
Populasi penelitian merupakan keseluruhan dari objek yang akan diteliti
(Neuman, 2007). Populasi yang digunakan dalam penelitian kali ini adalah
Karyawan PT. Waskita Karya proyek Jembatan Musi sejumlah 95 orang.
Pada penelitian ini, korelasi antara variabel safety climate dan safety
performance memiliki nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,00 dimana jika dilihat dari
probabilitas p < 0,05 maka dapat disimpulkan terdapat hubungan antara safety
climate dan safety performance. Kekuatan korelasi yang didapat adalah sebesar
0,744. Hal ini menunjukkan, variabel safety climate dan safety performance
memiliki hubungan yang positif sehingga semakin tinggi nilai dari variabel safety
climate maka semakin tinggi pula nilai dari variabel safety performance.
Kesimpulan
Berdasarkan analisa data yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini dapat
disimpulkan bahwa hipotesis penelitian yaitu terdapat hubungan antara safety
climate dengan safety performance pada karyawan PT. Waskita Karya proyek
Jembatan Musi dapat diterima.
