The study entitled "legal protection for consumers on the sale of cosmetics through
online media". Aims first to know and understand and analyze about how the legal protection
for consumer of cosmetic users who do not have permission from BPOM. Secondly to know
and understand and analyze how effort BPOM in overcoming cosmetic sales that do not have
permission from BPOM.
The research method used in this thesis is using normative research method which is
library research, that is research on legislation and literature related to the matter discussed.
Based on the results of research can be concluded first: the protection of consumers
regarded materially and formally is very important, given the advance of science and
technology at this time. Productivity of producers of goods or services it produces in
fulfilling its business. Thereby efforts to provide adequate protection to the interests of
consumers is an important thing. When viewed from the court decision, the witness against
the crime in the Health Act No. 36 Year 2009 (on health) menyataka imprisonment of 15
years and fine 1.5 M. Second: the obstacle faced by BPOM surabaya in the level of
investigation is the existence of internal and external constraints. Lack of consumer
awareness to report the existence of business actors selling cosmetics without permission
from BPOM.
Penelitian yang berjudul “ perlindungan hukum bagi konsumen atas penjualan kosmetik
melalui media online ” bertujuan pertama untuk mengetahui dan memahami serta
menganalisis tentang bagaimana perlindungan hukum bagi konsumen pengguna kosmetik
yang tidak memiliki izin dari BPOM. Kedua untuk mengetahui dan memahami serta
menganalisis bagaimana upaya BPOM dalam mengatasi penjualan kosmetik yang tidak
memilki izin dari BPOM.
Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam skripsi ini adalah menggunakan metode
penelitian normatif yang merupakan penelitian kepustakaan, yaitu penelitian terhadap
perundang – undangan dan literatur yang berkaitan dengan materi yang dibahas.
