Introduction: Stroke is one of the most destructive neurological diseases, resulting in tremendous
disability, illness and death among the global population. Stroke is the second leading cause of death in
the world, and is predicted to reach 7.8 million deaths by 2030 if no intervention is carried out. Many
people suffer from silent strokes that remain undetected because of early symptoms that are not
clinically diagnosed.
Methods and Analysis: This study uses a systematic review, namely a study model that uses pure
research where the researcher reviews primary data which can be qualitative or quantitative data on a
particular topic. The databases used are ScienceDirect and PubMed. Researchers conducted aliterature
comprehensive review by assessing the Knowledge Level of Stroke Symptoms. Then, it will be seen
whether the level of knowledge about stroke symptoms will affect his awareness in contacting medical
services immediately after receiving stroke symptoms.
Results:The three studies reviewed explained that knowledge about stroke symptoms was still low whic
was influenced by several factors, especially education level. The level of knowledge about the
symptoms of stroke affects the awareness of contacting medical services immediately when getting
symptoms of a stroke.
Conclusion: There is a relationship between knowledge of stroke symptoms and awareness of
contacting medical services immediately when receiving stroke symptoms. It is recommended to provide
health education to the public in the form of health promotion and health campaigns regarding the signs
and symptoms of stroke.
