Nayla Ramadhani, my name is Melani Kirana Mentari, my name is Mardiana, we are cemara group
from class 9A, we are going to explain about procedure text, so don’t go anywehere, check this
out!!!!

Assalamualaikum wr.wb, Halo teman-teman, apa kabar? Nama saya Alya Zhafirah Misyar, nama
saya Nayla Ramadhani, nama saya Melani Kirana Mentari, nama saya Mardiana, kami adalah grup
cemara dari kelas 9A, kami akan menjelaskan tentang teks prosedur, jadi jangan pergi ke mana-
mana, lihat ini!!!!

Pendahuluan
Have you ever made a meal before and looked at the recipe? Or have you ever done something
by referring to a manual? If you've done that before, then a text you're reading or a directive
you've heard is a procedure text.

Sebelumnya kalian pernah membuat sebuah makanan dan melihat pada resep? Atau apakah kalian
pernah melakukan sesuatu dengan berpedoman pada sebuah manual? Jika kalian sudah pernah
melakukan hal tersebut, maka sebuah text yang kalian baca atau arahan yang kaian dengar adalah
sebuah procedure text.

Inti
Procedure text is text that contains instructions for creating or doing something. The purpose of
the procedure text is to tell how to create or do things in order. The structure of the procedure
text is divided into three parts, namely, GOAL, MATERIALS, STEPS.

1. GOAL/PURPOSE/AIM

This goal is the purpose of the text procedure. It is usually a title or description of what
will be made or done. For example: how to make fried rice.

2. MATERIALS/INGREDIENTS/MATERIALS

This material is a section that contains a list of materials and tools to complete the text
procedure. For example: rice, salt, sauce, onion, etc.

3. STEPS/METHODS/PROCEDURES

The steps section contains a series of steps that must be performed with sequentially.
These steps must be done so that the goals stated in the Aim / Goal section can be
achieved.

Teks procedure merupakan teks yang berisikan instruksi untuk membuat atau melakukan sesuatu.
Tujuan dari teks procedure adalah untuk memberitahu bagaimana cara membuat atau melakukan
sesuatu secara berurutan. Struktur teks procedure terbagi menjadi tiga bagian yaitu, GOAL,
MATERIALS, STEPS.

1. GOAL/PURPOSE/AIM

Goal ini merupakan tujuan dari procedure teks. Biasanya berupa judul atau deksripsi apa
yang akan dibuat atau dilakukan. Misalnya : how to make fried rice and how to do wudhu.

2. MATERIALS/INGREDIENTS/MATERIALS

Materials ini merupakan bagian yang memuat daftar bahan dan alat untuk menyelesaikan
procedure text tersebut. Misalnya : rice, salt, sauce, onion, dst.

3. STEPS/METHODS/PROCEDURES

Bagian steps berisi serangkaian langkah-langkah yang harus dilakukan dengan secara
berurutan. Steps ini harus dilakukan agar tujuan yang di utarakan pada bagian Aim/Goal
dapat tercapai.

Ciri-ciri procedure text

1) Menggunakan pola kalimat perintah (imperative). Contohnya “cut the banana into pieces”, “
don’t mix the coconut milk with water”, “heat the water for 5 minutes” dll.
2) Menggunakan action verbs, misalnya crack, chop, cut, heat, mix, dan seterusnya.
3) Menggunakan sequence adverbs seperti first, second, next, then, finally, while.
4) Menggunakan adverbials (kata keterangan) untuk menyatakan rinci waktu, dan tempat
misalnya for “cook the mixture for one hours” , “boil the water for 15 minutes” , “crack the egg
into the bowl”, dan lain sebagainya.
5) Menggunakan simple present tense.

Nah itu tadi adalah penjelasan tentang procedure text mengenai generic structure dan ciri ciri
kebahasannya. Oke sekarang kita akan lihat contoh procedure text dengan judul “HOW TO MAKE
MANGO JUICE” (CARA MEMBUAT JUS MANGGA) and “HOW TO DO WUDHU” (BAGAIMANA CARA
MELAKUKAN WUDHU)

Yang perlu kita ketahui adalah ingredients/materials :

“HOW TO MAKE MANGO JUICE”

2 ripe mangoes (2 buah manga matang)

1 cup water (1 gelas air)

2 tablenspoons sugar (2 sendok gula)

A few ice cubes (sedikit es batu)

Steps :

Wash the mangoes to remove any dirt. Then peel the ripe mangoes.

Cut the peeled mangoes into small pieces.

Put them in a blender together with crushed ice,water,and sugar.

Blend until smooth.

Run the blended mixture through a sieve.

Throw away the leftover plup and mango fibers.

Serve the juice in glasses with a piece of mango attached to the side for garnish.

“HOW TO DO WUDHU”

1) Begin by saying ‘Bismillah’ (Mulailah dengan mengatakan 'Bismillah')

2) Wash your hands three times (Cuci tangan Anda tiga kali)
3) Rinse your mouth three times (Bilas mulut Anda tiga kali)
4) Sniff water into your nostrils three times (Hirup air ke lubang hidung Anda tiga kali)
5) Wash your face three times (Cuci muka tiga kali)
6) Wash your arms three times (Cuci tangan Anda tiga kali)
7) Wipe your head once (Usap kepalamu sekali)
8) Clean your ears once (Bersihkan telinga Anda sekali)
9) Wash your feet thee times (Cucilah kakimu waktumu)
10) Recite the shahada and the doa ( Melafalkan syahadat dan doa)

so it was a way of making manga juice (mango juice) and a way of performing ablutions. And
that's an explanation of the procedure text and examples.

Nah itu adalah cara membuat jus manga (mango juice) dan cara melakukan wudhu. Dan itu
penjelasan tentang procedure text serta contohnya.
