ROCHENDI: “Peran Kepala Madrasah Dalam Meningkatkan Mutu

Pendidikan di MIS Syarif Hidayatullah Astana Gunung
Jati”

Kepala madrasah merupakan pemimpin pendidikan tingkat satuan

pendidikan, yang harus bertanggungjawab terhadap maju mundurnya sekolah
yang dipimpinnya. Oleh karena itu, kepala madrasah di tuntut untuk
memiliki berbagai kemampuan, baik kemampuan keterkaitan dengan
masalah manajemen maupun kepemimpinan, agar dapat mengembangkan
dan memajukan sekolahnya secara efektif, efisien, mandiri, dan produktif.
Keberhasilan madrasah adalah keberhasilan kepala madrasah. Sukses dan
tidaknya pendidikan dan pembelajaran di madrasah sangat dipengaruhi oleh
kemampuan kepala madrasah dalam mengelola setiap komponen madrasah.
Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan peran kepala madrasah
dalam perencanaan mutu pendidikan Islam di MIS Syarif Hidayatullah
Astana Gunungjati, peran kepala madrasah dalam aktualisasi mutu
pendidikan Islam di MIS Syarif Hidayatullah Astana Gunungjati, dan peran
kepala madrasah dalam evaluasi mutu pendidikan Islam di MIS Syarif
Hidayatullah Astana Gunungjati. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan
menggunakan metode kualitatif dimana penelitian ini berusaha
mengungkapkan gejala menyeluruh dan sesuai konteks melalui pengumpulan
data dari latar alami, peneliti sebagai instrumen kunci jawaban dalam
penelitian . Metode ini digunakan untuk menghindari pembahasan yang
terjebak pada aspek historis-faktual saja namun mampu menghasilkan
sebuah konsep pemikiran yang integral dengan konteks yang terjadi waktu
itu . Berdasarkan hasil penelitian penulis menyimpulkan bahwa Kepala
Madrasah memiliki peran dan fungsi yang sangat besar dalam
mengembangkan semagat kerja dan kerja sama yang harmonis, minat
pengembagan terhadap dunia pendidikan, pengembangan kualitas
professional guru-guru yang dipimpinya, serta kualitas siswa atau madrasah
secara umum banyak ditentukan oleh kualitas kepala madrasah.

 ABSTRACT

ROCHENDI: "The Role of the Madrasa Head in Improving the Quality of

Education at MIS Syarif Hidayatullah Astana Gunung Jati"

The madrasah head is the educational leader at the education unit level, who
must be responsible for the progress and decline of the school he leads.
Therefore, madrasa heads are required to have various abilities, both related
to management and leadership issues, so that they can develop and advance
their schools effectively, efficiently, independently and productively. The
success of the madrasah is the success of the madrasa head. The success or
failure of education and learning in madrasas is greatly influenced by the
ability of the principal in managing each component of the madrasa.
The purpose of this study was to describe the role of the madrasa head in
planning the quality of Islamic education at MIS Syarif Hidayatullah Astana
Gunungjati, the role of the madrasa head in actualizing the quality of Islamic
education at MIS Syarif Hidayatullah Astana Gunungjati, and the role of the
madrasa head in evaluating the quality of Islamic education at MIS Syarif
Hidayatullah Astana Gunungjati.This research was conducted using a
qualitative method in which this study attempted to reveal the overall and
context-appropriate symptoms through the collection of data from natural
settings, the researcher as the key answer instrument in the research. This
method is used to avoid discussions that are stuck on historical-factual
aspects but are able to produce a concept of thought that is integral to the
context that occurred at that time. Based on the results of the research, the
authors conclude that the Head of Madrasah has a very large role and
function in developing a spirit of work and harmonious cooperation, interest
in developing the world of education, developing the professional quality of
the teachers he leads, and the quality of students or madrasas in general is
largely determined by the quality of madrasa principals.
