 JENIS ALAT EVALUASI PENILAIAN PEMBELAJARAN

Dalam pengertian umum, alat adalah sesuatu yang dapat digunakan untuk
mempermudah seseorang untuk melakssanakan tugas atau mencapai tujuan agar secara
efektif dan efisien. kata “Alat” biasa disebut juga denga istilah “instrumen”.
Pada umumnya alat evaluasi dibedakan menjadi dua jenis, yakni tes dan non tes.
Kedua jenis ini dapat digunakan untuk menilai ketiga sasaran penilaian yang dikemukakan
diatas.
TES
Secara harfiyah, kata “tes” berasal dari bahasa Perancis Kuno: testum
dengan arti: “piring untuk menyisihkan logam-logam mulia”
(maksudnya dengan menggunakan alat yang berupa piring itu akan
dapat diperoleh jenis-jenis logam mulia yang nilainya sangat tinggi)
dalam bahasa Inggris ditulis dengan test yang dalam bahasa Indonesia
diterjemahkan dengan “tes” , “ujian” atau “peecobaan”.
Tes adalah alat yang direncanakan untuk mengukur kemampuan,
keahlian, atau pengetahuan. Dari pengertian ini maka tes adalah:
○ Merupakan alat
○ Harus direncanakan
○ Berfungsi sebagai pengukur kemampuan, kecakapan dan
pengetahuan anak.
