Antibiotics are the drug most used in infections caused by bacteria. The
existence of antibiotics for self-medication indicates the use of drugs that are not
appropriate. One way to manage antibiotic drugs that is good and right is
through the dissemination of DAGUSIBU. A preliminary survey of 20 patients and
their families, 12 people with good knowledge and 8 people with less knowledge
about antibiotic storage and disposal. The purpose of this study is to know the
description of the knowledge of each patient and the patient's family at dr. Suyoto
Hospital in this study using descriptive quantitative methods with a sample of 100
respondents, data collection is by giving questionnaires to patients and patients'
families from June 21 to June 28, in 2019 At dr. Suyoto Hospital Jakarta. The
results showed that the category of knowledge about how to get antibiotic drugs
as much as 63% with a good category, knowledge about how to use antibiotic
drugs as much as 40% with a less good category knowledge about how to store
antibiotic drugs as much as 22% with a good category, knowledge about how to
get rid of antibiotic drugs as much as 13% with good category, overall knowledge
about DAGUSIBU antibiotics drug in late adulthood was 33.3% with good
categories and the level of knowledge was not good at the age of the late elderly
as much as 26.7% while overall knowledge about DAGUSIBU antibiotic drugs
category both in the tertiary level of tertiary education and also in the lower
category of tertiary education, in addition to the knowledge of the term
DAGUSIBU only 32% know but only from banners in the hospital.
