The direct object (objek langsung) dan indirect object (objek tidak langsung) merupakan dua jenis
object yang kerap muncul bersamaan dalam suatu kalimat. Berikut penjelasannya.

Object adalah bagian penting dari struktur kalimat yang mengacu pada penerima dari aksi atau kerjaan
verb. Ada dua jenis object, yaitu indirect object dan direct object.

1. Direct Object

Direct object merupakan penerima langsung dari aksi verb. Direct object mengacu pada orang atau
benda yang terlibat dalam aksi kata kerja.

2. Indirect Object

Indirect object merupakan penerima tidak langsung dari aksi verb. Indirect object mengacu pada orang
atau benda yang terlibat ke dalam aksi kata kerja melalui direct object. Dengan kata lain, indirect object
adalah penerima direct object.

Contoh: I give her a love letter
