kepentingan masyarakat. Apoteker wajib memberi informasi tentang penggunaan obat secara tepat,
aman, rasional kepada pasien atas permintaan masyarakat.
Pharmacists are not only responsible for the drug as a product, with all its implications, but are
responsible for the therapeutic effect and safety of a drug in order to achieve an optimal effect. It is
hoped that with the counseling between pharmacists and patients, all information about drugs can
be conveyed properly. There are several things that must be conveyed by pharmacists to patients,
including the rules for taking the medicine, what are the side effects of the drug, how to store the
medicine correctly, the indication of what the drug is for.
Second, the pharmacist's responsibility is to be able to carry out a self diagnosis. The pharmacist can
provide an initial diagnosis of what drugs the patient should take without a doctor's prescription.
Because it will also be dangerous if the treatment is non-prescription, it is feared that it will get
worse. However, if the patient's diagnosis is not clear, it is the pharmacist's obligation to refer the
patient to the doctor first. So that patients can be handled properly and their health is controlled by
doctors. Another responsibility that is important for us to know is that pharmacists are obliged to
serve prescriptions in accordance with their responsibilities and professional expertise and are based
on the interests of the community. Pharmacists are required to provide information about drug use
appropriately, safely, rationally to patients at the request of the community.
