Jessica’s nickname is Jessie and Lizzie’s nickname is Liz. Lizzie lives in Ghana
tower close to police office while Jessica lives in grinding close to Ajidilaya’s
market. Jessica’s goal in life is to be a doctor while Lizzie wants to be a teacher.

B. Writing
Pada bagian ini anda akan belajar bagaimana cara memperkenalkan diri sendiri
kepada teman baru, dikelas dan perguruan tinggi. Sebelumnya kita pelajari dulu
susunan kalimat perkenalan diri.

Bagian awal Pada bagian awal biasanya diawali

dengan sapaan dan kalimat pengantar

Bagian Inti Pada bagian inti menyebutkan identitas
diri mulai dari nama, pekerjaan/profesi,
keluarga, hobby, makanan/ minuman
kesukaan dan hal – hal lainnya yang perlu
dibicarakan.
Bagian Penutup Pada bagian penutup adalah sapaan
penutup.
Pada materi Introduction terdapat beberapa materi yang menjadi focus utama untuk
dipelajari. Yaitu kata sapaan (greeting), penggunaan kata ganti (pronoun), kata kerja
“to be”, serta penggunaan kalimat simple present tense.

D. Pronouns
Pronoun adalah kata ganti yang digunakan untuk menggantikan noun (kata
benda) yang berupa orang, benda, hewan, tempat, atau konsep abstrak. Terdapat
beberapa jenis pronoun seperti pada penjelasan berikut ini:
1. Personal pronoun
 Personal pronoun merupakan kata ganti untuk orang, hewan, benda atau hal
secara spesifik.. contoh:

2. Demonstrative Pronoun
Demonstrative pronoun merupakan kata ganti yang menggunakan parameter
number (jumlah) dan distance (jarak). Contoh:

3. Interrogative Pronoun

4. Relative Pronoun

5. Indefinite pronoun

6. Reflexive Pronoun
Reflexive Pronoun adalahkata ganti yang digunakan untuk menyatakan
bahwa subjek menerima aksi dari verb (reciprocal action) pada suatu clause
atau kalimat. Adapun kata yang digunakan sebagai berikut:

7. Intensive Pronoun
Intensive Pronoun adalah kata ganti yang digunakan untuk memberikan

 8. Reciprocal Pronoun
Reciprocal Pronoun adalah kata ganti yang digunakan pada kondisi ketika
dua atau lebih subjek melakukan aksi yang sama satu sama lain. Adapun
kata yang digunakan sebagai berikut:

E. Kalimat menggunakan Simple Present Tense

Dalam bahasa Inggris kita kenal istilah Grammar. Grammar berisi aturan
penulisan dalam Bahasa Inggris, termasuk didalamnya mengatur jenis kalimat
yang digunakan dan aturan tersebut dipakai dengan mempertimbangkan waktu
yang digunakan. Berkaitan dengan aturan tersebut maka jenis kalimat dalam
perkenalan diri menggunakan Simple Present Tense dengan ketentuan:
