 Observasi Alamiah
Dalam pendekatan alamiah ini, observasi dilakukan
tanpa adanya campur tangan sama sekali dari pihak
peneliti. Objek observasi adalah fenomena-
fenomena yang dibiarkan terjadi secara alamiah.

Lingkungan alamiah berupa “dunia nyata” tempat

subjek penelitian berada.

Observasi alamiah yang diadakan pada lingkungan

alamiah dicontohkan oleh penelitian mengenai tradsi
sosial suatu suku bangsa dengan partisipasi langsung
dari pihak peneliti. Para ahli antropologi sering sekali
melakukan penelitian dengan metode observasi
alamiah

 Penelitian Lapangan (Field Research)
Dalam metode pendekatan ini, penelitian dilakukan dalam
situasi alamiah akan tetapi didahulu oleh semacam
intervensi (campur tangan) dari pihak peneliti. Intervensi
dimaksudkan agar fenomena yang dikehendaki peneliti
dapat segera tampak dan diamati sehingga terjadi kontrol
parsial terhadap situasi di lapangan.

 Penelitian Korelasional
 Bertujuan untuk mengetahui keeratan hubungan
diantara variabel-variabel yang diteliti tanpa adanya
intervensi terhadap suatu variasi variabel-variabel
yang bersangkutan.

 Data yang diperoleh merupakan data alamiah seperti

apa adanya.

 Kendali atau kontrol parsial terbatas pada kontrol statistikal

dalam analisisnya sehingga dimungkinkan untuk melihat
hubungan diantara dua variabel, misalnya tanpa dicemari oleh
variasi variabel-variabel lain.

 Penelitian Longitudinal
 Mempelajari perkembangan subjek dengan
perjalanan waktu merupakan suatu bentuk
penelitian lapangan dengan intervensi yang
minimal dari pihak peneliti.

 Kontrol atau kendali yang dilakukan terbatas pada

beberapa variabel atau kondisi yang pengaruhnya ingin
dihindari agar hasil penelitian dapat lebih mencerminkan
keadaan subjek ynag sesungguhnya.

 Tetapi kendali atau kontrol ini tidak selalu dapat

dilakukan secara langsung karena situasi penelitian tetap
alamiah

 Eksperimentasi Lapangan
 Dilakukan dengan memberikan perlakuan
tertentu terhadap kelompok subjek dengan
harapan muncul fenomena atau gejala yang
hendak dipelajari.

 Subjek penelitian tetap berada dalam situasi alamiah

sehingga tidak mengubah reaksi alamiah yang mungkin
timbul dari pihka subek.

 Eksperimentasi
Laboratorium
 Dalam pendekatan ini, subek penelitian
dipisahkan sama sekali dari lingkungan
alamiah mereka dan dimasukkan ke dalam
situasi yang secara penuh berada dalam
kendali peneliti.
 Tujuannya pendekatan ini adalah untuk melihat
hubungan kausal (sebab-akibat) antara variabel
independen dan variabel dependen.

memiliki variabel tak terkendalikan seperti emosi,
nafsu, keinginan, minat, tuntutan, dslb.
