KLASIFIKASI GELOMBANG

BERDASARKAN
MEDIUM :
Gelombang mekanik, contoh: gelombang bunyi dan gelombang pada tali

Gelombang elektromagnetik, contoh: gelombang cahaya, sinar X, gelombang


radio, gelombang TV

BERDASARKAN ARAH
GETAR :
Gelombang transversal : gelombang yang arah geraknya tegak lurus terhadap
arah perambatannya.
Contoh : Gelombang pada tali, gelombang permukaan air, dan cahaya

Gelombang longitudinal : gelombang yang arah getarnya sejajar dengan arah


perambatannya.
Contoh : Gelombang bunyi, gelombang pegas
BERDASARKAN AMPLITUDONYA :

Gelombang berjalan : gelombang yang amplitudonya tetap di setiap titik yang


dilalui gelombang.
contoh: gelombang yang merambat pada tali yang sangat panjang

Gelombang stasioner (diam) : gelombang yang amplitudonya berubah-ubah.
