SECTION A

1. Weights of 100 g, 200 g and 300 g are placed in three similar boxes as shown in Diagram 1.
A blindfolded student is given the task of arranging the boxes according to weight, in ascending order.

2. (a) Mr. Kumar discovers that his teenaged son is a drug addict. State three reason for drug abuse
among teenager.
Mr. Kumar mendapati bahawa anak remajanya seorang penagih dadah. Nyatakan tiga sebab
berlakunya penyalahgunaan dadah dikalangan remaja.

(b) Mr. Kumar’s son has been involved in drug abuse for about six months. He wants to get his son
out of this drug problem. Explain what Mr. Kumar can do to solve this problem. You should
include the following.
Anak lelaki Mr. Kumar telah terlibat dalam penyalahgunaan dadah kira-kira enam bulan. Dia
menginginkan agar anak lelakinya bebas daripada masalah dadah. Terangkan bagaimana Mr.

b) Problem statement : Can a blind-folded student arrange loads of different
masses in increasing order? 1m

Aim of the experiment : To study the role of kinaesthasia in estimating the


mass of an object 1m

Apparatus : Loads of 100 g, 200 g, 300 g, 400 g and 500 g 1m

Procedure :
1. Blind-fold a student using a black scarf.
2. Put the loads randomly on a table student.
3. Ask the blind-folded student to arrange the loads in increasing order of
mass.
4. The observation is recorded.
5. Repeat the experiment three times. 4m

Data presentation : The loads can be arranged in increasing order of mass. 1m

Conclusion : Kinaesthasia helps the blind-folded student to arrange the loads


in increasing order of mass. 1m

money wisely.

The best method :
If his son is already addicted to drugs, it is better to send him to the drug
rehabilitation centre. In this centre, he will get proper help to recover from
drug addiction.
